Anywho I know not relevant this week. But tapine is cheap as, could be an option for a poor mans 18th man.

Wasn't it 1-2. Only 6 weeks or more if surgery required.

    Is that the last update?

Normally a safe assumption. But not this time.

Milford is a sell, even if he misses two games, no guanrtee he doesn’t stay at full back. Too much unknown for me

The only thing official from the club is still "possible 1-2 weeks" or could be "6 to 12 weeks".

But as you said, guys like Chris Garry have said he will probably miss a month, and he rarely misses the mark with Broncos info. I would still like to hear an update direct from the club which I would expect to come before the round begins.

I will probably hold this week until something concrete is announced, and if hes out then ill give Drinkwater a crack for the run home. Like the cut of his jib.

If anyone wants to have their 2c in the community team, go over to the thread and post your 2 week plan.

Kinda needs to be 2 weeks to ensure we have the cover to field 17 in week 17 and also presumably everyone agrees we need Cook so the plan needs to make sure the cash is there for that too.

Im proposing that this week, as much as its possible to plan 2 weeks ahead, our voting is for the preferred 2 week plan.

    I'm still thinking of playing risky with coverage and running an all hooker bench. Trades this week looking like;

    Sivo - SJ
    Morgan - Walters/Coates
    Havilli - Smith

    Gives me this team with 6 trades and no coin;

    Cook
    Taupau Haas
    Murray Tolo Bateman
    SJ Ponga
    Xerri Nikora
    RTS CNK Teddy

    Smith MC9 Mahoney Fainu

    Watson Lomax Walters Brittain

Would look at getting Fifi back in 17 too but may have to wait til 18. Should have 17 for round 17 though unless Murray doesn't play.

    Is this lunacy?

    After trades this week...

    Taumololo Murray Twal
    SJ Brooks

    Teddy RTS Ponga
    McInnes Taupau Mahoney Watson
    Burns Carrigan Coates Brittain

Watson becomes cook post origin. Still not sure about brooks, could get reversed.

    Should have 11 this week
    I reckon keep Brooks.

Our only differences are; Taupau, Mahoney, Burns, Carrigan, Coates, Brittain vs SST, Matterson, Tevaga, Staggs, Verrills, Dearden

Good luck for the rest of the season

lots of people burning a 2nd spot bringing in one of those cheap Broncos (and already have Brittain), is it too early for that?

I think I might keep Watson as 18th man. Bit of a wildcard that could score big at times. Depends if he goes to 6 or to bench, when Ponga returns.

I just think Burns has a better floor than Xerri and I do need the WFB cover in case I need to move Ponga or Wighton to cover halves. Xerri is being fucked with at the Sharks and they have a tough run home, while Burns is in a top 3 team on the end of a lethal backline. This might be more a leap of faith than anything else but I'm backing him in.
    I think it's a waste of a trade tbh

    (1) Twal + Mann as 18th man (2 trades remaining) - better averaging player as 17th man, but less cover, more trades,
    (2) SJ + Burns as 18th man (1 trade remaining) - gives cover for all positions once Ponga returns, could open up l@@p possibilities, lower floor of SJ compared to Twal, 1 trade for run home bit scary

Both are somewhat dependent on price changes with (1) leaving 0k ITB for Fifita + TTurbo next week based on current prices whereas (2) leaves around 20k but would be at mercy of extra price change (unless TTurbo doesn't back up)

Final team in R18 would be (1 trade remaining)
    Cook
    Fifita Haas
    Matterson Murray Taumalolo
Munster Ponga (should return by then)
    Bateman Nikora
    Tedesco RTS TTurbo

    Smith McInnes Taupau SJ/Twal
    Burns/Mann Carrigan Coates Walters
You can't possibly have 1 trade for the run home
    Twal + Mann for me

I am just trading towards a final team as efficiently as I can now. Will be killing #20 and #21 with two of Kerr/Coates/Walters this week.

My 19th man is already Staggs. He isn't scoring too badly in a bad side. 18th is shaping up to be Mahoney, or Watson.

I am trading out Lomax and Kenny this week, so its no real loss there..

I have burned more trades than I'd hoped to in the last few weeks knee jerking trading in response to injuries, which means I am running pretty tight post round 18.

There hasn't been a week in the last month that has gone to plan so there is probably no point planning now.

DCE with a BE of 80 and not kicking goals is going to be pretty cheap in a couple weeks. Is he no longer a most wanted HLF? He has a 3 game avg of 41. Can he be forgiven for Origin period?
Might take the punt on Arey/Wighton/Cleary to partner SJ in the halves after Origin.

I can't help but shake this feeling Coates is going to be that kind of guy that comes out of nowhere, plays out of skin and makes you think, where has this kid been all along, forcing his way into the 13.

But then I also have this feeling all the spotlight is on Coates and Farnworth is just gonna go boom.
