Hate that I have Carrigan and Staggs as 2 of my remaining R16 “scorers”

Carrigan was originally bought way back when as a guy to get mins because Ofa and Haas wouldn’t be there Evil or Very Mad

Staggs I just have no idea why he isn’t a bigger fantasy beast. He passes the eye test but then again I suppose Keiran Foran does too and that bastards never been fantasy relevant

    426/7(c)

Hopefully having 6 in action today, albeit 2 more cashouts (SJ, Xerri, Nikora, Haas, Carrigan, Coates) keeps my ranking up

I have a gut feeling one of the cashouts this week will blow up. Any one of Coates or Carrigan or whoever I don't have to counteract my excellent luck avoiding most of the carnage this week

Currently 265/4 (c) played - Haas, SJ, Nikora & Xerri to play. At least my rank drop has stabilised & I might actually gain some rank position today with 4 players.

236/5 feels a bit on par, although rank has suffered

After this round is the only way to make a real run to pick massive PODs and captains choices? It seems too far gone now.

At this stage of the season because everyone basically has the same major players the only way to gain ground is having more trades left compared to others & if 1 of the guns gets injured then you can replace him & those with no trades can't. MS is a master trade saver & he always has a late season run due to this. The man has the patience of a saint & while the rest of us are rage trading/using trades he sits tight know his strategy is sound.

Yeah I guess it would be hard to make a rise in the ranks by playing it safe from here. Perhaps I wouldn't go to crazy with captain choices though.

And yeah agree that having trades in the bank is good.

I'm ranked in the 5000s atm and don't expect to move to far from that this year even with some PODs

The difference between MS & the rest of us is we panic & he doesn't. He would make a great bomb disposal specialist with his nerves of steel.

For instance not having the balls to go Nofo over RTS and pocket 100k won't help me in the long run

You can't beat yourself up in this type of situation. Hindsight can be damaging & will cause extra worry.

Having Nofo over RTS this week netted an extra 17 points. RTS is probably going to smash him by season's end and be worth that 100k.

In the short term it might depend on people's cash and trade situations on how quickly they can get to their final team, but I'd say beyond R18/R19 most teams will be similar and it'll be down to PODs and POD captains (I don't know if playing risky captains with say 5 rounds to go would be the play though)

I reckon teams' differences are mainly going to be down to 3rd WFB (can people afford TTurbo if he is worth it), HLFs and bench whereas the rest of the team will likely be the same for most people. Potentially if you can afford boom/bust loop options in your 18th man it might be a differential

Also in short term after Origin and potentially closer to finals there may be random resting of guns and people's cover may be the deciding factor in different teams

    Cook,
    Fifita, Haas
    Taumalao, Taupau, Murray
    Munster, Johnson
    Nikora, Bateman
    Tedesco, RTS, Ponga

    Taupau

Got 6 playing today, same guys as everyone else. A real boom or bust afternoon aside from Haas. Would love Staggs to score a couple of tries.

Looks like guy in first has 3 playing today, assuming he has traded either CNK or Martin to a cheapie. He had 7 to play pre-round, and has 10 green dots now, so can only have used one more trade. Interestingly he chose Brooks over SJ (unless he has also picked up SJ?, but I think his team value has dropped a fair bit, probably to get Cook next week)
