Hi, I’ve been stalking this forum for about one month and though I should actually register.

Never played NRL Fantasy before this season, only draft games, and put in a team last minute and picked like 5 centres because I did not know what I was doing. Also N Brown as captain.

So from 37k-ish after R1 I’ve traded my way up, slowly spending more and more time each week on this game. Then from about R13 I went a bit full obsessive and started googling for all of the info, of which this forum was the only thing I’ve come back to.

Not sure the extra effort has helped tho - I tried to plan for byes and the run home but might’ve done better just trading to zero...

I think this week to finalise my squad I can either trade Mann/Watson for Turbo/NPR, which gives me cover of all positions but I kinda never wanted Turbo. Or I can trade Xerri/Watson and get anyone (Jurbo or Matterson likely) but not have CT cover and ride my luck with 2 trades. I’m kinda leaning towards the latter, even with the extra risk

    Current squad:

    Cook
    Fifita Haas
    Lolo Murray Taupau
    Reynolds SJ
    Bateman Nikora
    Ponga Tedesco Wighton

    CS9 CM9 SST Fainu
    Watson Xerri Mann Kerr

    Welcome to the site

You have a very good team.
    What's your rank?

I think the Trbojevic option is better since it gives you that extra WFB gun and centre depth

Yeah I think it is too, just was not the plan so being stubborn looking at other options. I think the Xerri HIA a few rounds back plus Lomax injury stuffed my backline plans.

Rank is way down at 3924, but I think I should get a bit higher with some injury luck?

So you're the guy topping the Reddit League. Well look forward to joining such illustrious company like myself and Thril_hou as winners of the coveted /r/nrl fantasy league.

Honestly if you're in 6th and you never post here then you're probably best off not listening to anyone at all. You've got this far on your own, listening to anyone else just going to drag you down.

Huge week with 646 sees my rank go from 1090> 545, inside the 1000 for the first time this year
Got the cash to go Staggs/Lomax to Cook but that means holding SJ as a starting half until Fainu peaks and leaving out a 50+ scorer each week(will be able to loop to decide)

Will probably play it safe and go Crichton/Taupau>Cook and Fainu>any half once he peaks

Kudos to John Morris for his stance with SJ. Hopefully he has a good look at himself and doesn't sulk.

Ahh ok, the Fainu trade, he is a final player ? Not coming back out ?
I have Pappy to, but have no other WFB. Can squeeze Martin or Xerri and upgrade Pappy to any WFB though.

Good to see you climbing those rankings mate.

Ride Fainu to Klemmer or JFriend I reckon or whoever is affordable at that point mate

Just 10 players for me last week but no big change in rank, from 16th to 18th. Burns in for Watson this week and also need to bring in Teddy or TTurbo. Ideally it will be Teddy due to Roosters upcoming fixtures but cant afford for Teddy to be a late out if he is rested

Dropped about 100 spots to 1654 with only 483 and 9 players. I am in a bit of a pickle and have to get Fifita back but I don't think I can do it this week without sideways trading. Really backed myself into a corner here.

My halves combination is Wighton/Pearce right now.  Is this something I need to look at upgrading urgently? Apart from CNK the rest of my team is set really.

Don't think it's urgent, if you have cover for Pearce who probably won't back up 2 days after Origin.

Other than that, those are two of the halves who *might* score best until the end of the season (others being DCE, ARey, Ponga, Munster, Moses, Hunt, SJ, Cleary/Milford if fit). Hard to pick which two or three will be best but any trade between them seems marginal at the moment unless you have trades to burn.

I think it all depends on trades and cash. Pearce is obviously a concern but he might bounce back just as quickly as he's dropped off.

Wighton seems to just keep scoring well so no real concern there.

Hey fellas, I need some help on decisions here,
I have kept ponga throughout his injury, and have no cover in my reserves, should I trade him for ttrbo/wighton/burns? Aiming to trade him back in asap. Also considering twal to klemmer/lodge, anyone wanna help with that? Too sideways? Got 10 trades left, cheers guys

    Welcome mate.

We are set up very similarly.

I would of liked to have held Milford with the news that he should play this week. Its a tricky one though as he is a bit of an unknown at FB, and if his knee isn't great that might hurt his scoring. Assuming he plays this week, he could score pretty well against the warriors at Suncorp
