I am looking at holding off for a week as well, for similar reasons. I haven't looked at the order of fixtures yet, but I'm hoping to set my team up in a way that means I can have a look at 18th/19th score before deciding on pulling the trigger.

Bit of rumour that Cartwright won't be starting this week either.

    CS9
    Taupau, Haas
    Tolo,, Matterson, Murray
    Moses, SJ
    Bateman, Nikora
    Ted, CNK, Burns
    McInnis, Twal, Tevaga, AFB
    Brooks, Watson, Walters, Brittain

IF he has cash/trades to go Watson to a prime WFB and put Burns on bench it instantly looks better, but if he doesn't he's screwed, and still no Cook.

I thought it was interesting he grabbed both SJ and Brooks while already owning Moses. As you said, missing a few big names. I guess it depends on his bank but if he is low on cash then he would need to use 4 trades to get two guns. No trades last week was quite peculiar..

Maybe cash is an issue and part of the reason he grabbed Tevaga

Surprising he hasn't popped up anywhere.

He's been playing a fair bit in the middle and he's shit on the edge in defence imo. I could see him in the middle this week especially if someone like McGuire spells Granville. Hess could take some edge minutes though. With our luck another centre will go down with Hess on the edge and Wright pushed out to centre.

Who to turf for some variant of Turbo - Watson or Chricton?

I'm leaning Angus, because of a higher BE, and who the hell knows what's going on with the Roosters forward pack. Lining up Aubs over the Grand A is just weird, and it looks like Butcher is preferred to him as well (although maybe more of a middle forward? unknown).

Watson is a handy DPP, with a lower BE and gives me a week to look at Ponga's leg.

Banking the trade could be sensible, but Jurbo at low 700s is crazy good value, and TtTtTurbo could go boom against the Eels....

    Any thoughts?

Most people looking at trading Watson, eh? If he got a 40 minute hooker spell he will probably still score OK enough, he has been one of their best the best couple weeks, not sure how Mann has pipped him. So, my trades revolve around him.

I have exactly enough to upgrade Dearden to Klemmer, move Watson to 18 and play Burns. That's my safe play, leaves 4 trades.

    Or, go Watson to Cook, and Dearden to another 18th man such as Hughes (DPP in positions I'll need back up). Leaves 3 trades, and a side of;

    Cook
    Haas Fifi
    Tololo Murray Taupau
    Moses Pearce
    Nikora Bateman
    Ponga Burns RTS

    Smith, Mcinnes, Twal, Tevaga

    Hughes, Staggs, Coates, Brittain

    Thoughts please? Thanks guys.

I'm just wondering where Watson comes onto the field and for how long. Levi been doing some big minutes since his return.

That's going to be the problem.

He's only played one game off the bench this season that wasn't affected by injuries, and he only played 27 mins.

His form has been good lately, so you can argue he gets more minutes, but Levi has also earnt the right to play around 50 minutes at least...

Someone will probably break in the Knights team though and Watson will get 65 mins somewhere.

This is my reasoning as well - Mann to runn 25 minutes and then play bench-support role, coming back for last 25 minutes if/when Levi tires. Watson to run from 6 and make 35 points in 55 minutes, with try potential.

I have no basis for this whatsoever.

I think I may run with him in the centres and keep Bateman at second row. Probably won't be able to afford another forward gun so this will suffice. He's scoring better than Nikora anyway.

Opacic plays left Centre mate... Burns also plays left Centre so Burn will be up against Bowen.

    Unexpected stat:

Batemans 80min second row performances are averaging better than his 80min lock performances.

Hey wolfie, Wright just seems like one of those sneakies that will just play 80 minutes every week, gut feel only. Doesn't seem to do anything wrong
