Mate you should see the local links in Townsville.... pretty much brown all year round, the greens are all tatted and roots everywhere. Constantly have temporary geeens.

It's what clubs have to do these days. Take a punt on a youngster with potential and pay overs for them. Sometimes you get your Kalyn Ponga's, sometimes you get your Ash Taylor's.

Pre-season it looked like they were forming a pretty strong team for this season but unfortunately their recruits haven't paid off and they've had injuries to important players. Brennan had to go though.

I've always been a fan of Ash's and was pretty upset when we let him go for nothing but he hasn't lived up to the his potential yet. Given he's had injuries at different times and mental health issues he gets a bit of leeway there but next season is really the time he needs to prove himself or I don't think he ever will.

Hard to know what to believe when player salaries are reported. Its all heresay and second hand info. Obviously some are going to be correct, others not, etc.

Why would Cartwright be on 600k? He wasn't wanted anywhere else, wasn't exactly in high demand. I feel like that has been exaggerated a lot. Makes for good clickbait though.

I was talking about being injury free before the weekend, then pulled a hammy in the first 10 minutes of the game on Saturday. Those who put the C on me in their fantasy team would be fuming, at least my team got the win ...should be back in time for the finals

The best hit job I’ve seen, was Papalii in origin a few years ago. Just dog shotted Gallen all night. Even as a blues supporter it was awesome to see.

I wonder why Arrows isn't on that salary list. Could be the reason why he's looking for a new club. Imagine if Latu is actually earning more than him

Looking at how shut Boyd is, how was he keeping Vaughan out of the raiders pack three years ago?

Yeah it's ridiculous. Boyd is such a plodder. Really average player imo.

Thoughts on the following two trades? I know it's generally bad practice to only have 2 trades left in the run home but these trades seem the way to go for me to gain ground on the top.

Team before trades: $133k ITB, 4 trades left, ranked 247 overall.

    Cook
    Fifi, Haas
    Lolo, Jurbo, Murray
    SJ, Wighton
    Burns, Bateman
    To'o, Ponga, Teddy

    CS9, McInnes, Fainu, Tevaga

    Nikora, DBrown, Munster, Walters

The trades I'm looking at are Nikora to RTS, giving me a much better scorer for the final 17 and some WFB cover, but leaves me with zero CTR cover, which is why my second trade would be DBrown to Naden to get cover in the position and a favourable matchup (plus that left edge of Maloney, Kiks, Naden and Mansauce is killing teams). The way I see it, Brown's only good for a 30 but Naden seems to get a 25-30 in quiet weeks and gives me much-needed CTR cover.

Only downer is that only leaves me with 2 trades and I will almost certainly need to sell Fainu and Tevaga at some point.

What's the go with Liam Martin's injury? Do we know when he is likely to return?

Edit. Nevermind, found an article that states he is due back possibly for rd 19 against the raiders.

What worries me about naden is he won’t play the warriors and titans every week.

Fair enough, and I could just do Nikora to RTS alone and hold my trade. Naden wouldn't be in my 17, but backup only so I wouldn't be playing him on matchups.
