Captaincy options or captaincy percentages?StormTrooper96 wrote:Anyone got captaincy options? @Ben Marlin I can always count on you.
If you mean options then McInnes, Haas and DCE would be my picks

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 77
Here is ST's tips for the week legends!
UPSET: Knights over Eels. Knights form has slumped a fair bit recently but I am expecting them to bounce back into a bit of form in this back end of the year. Eels only just beat a massively under-performing Dragons side and with Fergo still missing they are missing that little oomf from their edges. Ponga and Watson will run riot over the Eels.
CERTAINTY: Manly. Manly. Manly. Too good and firing on all cylinders of late. Too mobile and quick for the Warriors boppers.
SMOKEY CAPTAIN: for me this week would be SJ. Seems to be in the best form he has been in this year plus Kikau and Martin like to miss tackles for fun. If Nikora is running those lines for him and SJ feels like running he will be playing on a training field out there!

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 77
It’s time for what you’ve all been waiting for, ladies.
Rabbit’s Roundup
Firstly, the famous Rabbit charge has come to a screeching halt That should make a few of you dweebs happy. No Pods, no Tedesco, no hope. Just hanging in there with 1 Trade, a pretty good team, a couple of filthy looping options and some depth. Top 100 is still the goal, but realistically anything inside the top 500 will do after my disastrous start from 21,700th. Lol. Not getting Moses was my biggest mistake this year. I still can’t stand the little turd, but he’s been carrying Parra and not hiding as much as previously. Don’t be surprised if he reverts though.
Captaincy options.....Cook is set and forget. If you captained him all year, you’re 3 points a game down on a couple of other options without the stress. Without any data whatsoever, I know he loves playing Melbourne, is a big game player and will win the game single handedly with the help of Reyno. Both are big game players and you’ll see Souths at their best this week. It won’t be an upset either. 10 games in a row earlier in the year, Origin done, a much needed soft loss last week and almost a full strength team says this win will be expected. Not a surprise. Only gumbies think otherwise. They’ll be competition favourites after this week.
Avoid Farah. Liddle will be back. If the Tigers lose this week, you watch the old fell feign an injury soon. Has nothing to play for if they aren’t making the finals and I don’t think they will.
Johnson will dog it too soon, last week was their grand final. Cleary and Reynolds are the halves I’d want to be on from here. The young Panther will run riot without Maloney and then Cleary can let him loose for the rest of the year. He’s too good to play 2nd fiddle.
Good luck and Up the Bunnies.

On captaincy - if you do go with Lolo/Haas tonight, VC the other one (given they'll be locking out anyway) to give you more flexibility in case of late outs during the weekend

It has gone to 90 minutes only once in the past 12 games
So theoretically it’s a 1/3 chance that it goes to golden point and 1/12 that it goes for 90 minutes
I don’t think it’s a base stat
Actually it's statistical not theoretical as that you have used actuals as opposed to speculation of conceptual assumptions.

Surely you can't take much note of Cook's career averages against teams as he's only really become an 80 min HOK since last year. I can only see one game v Storm on MTB's site in last 2 years where he destroyed Storm (98 points) but I know they restricted him in finals game but they different coach, different players etc etc

Not worth reading much into someones prior average vs X team, imo.
Rabbitohs will be up for this weeks game. Classic Bennett team.

So that means he averages 6% more points against Storm (((51.8-48.48)/48.48)x100)
If he scores 6% more than his average in 2019, he gets 67 points (1.06 x 63.2)

Cows/Broncos is the likeliest game this weekend to go to ET, so Haas and Lolo could definitely get a few extra points this week. Another tough captain decision this week.

Captaining Haas tonight. Granville struggles over the 80 and misses on average 2.3 tackles a game. Seibold needs the Broncs to win for a run at the finals and Haas being on the field as long as possible will do it. Furthermore, Broncos and Cowboys are historically close games and come down to the wire, meaning, both team will probably be using their forwards A LOT around the 65-70th minute mark to get that go forward up the middle to set up for a field goal, so Haas/Lodge and co. will probably need to take 1-2 runs a set during this period (obviously in the case it comes down to the wire). I wouldn't be surprised to see big Haas find the line either as Cowboys tend to get a little lazy in the middle on their own line. Lastly, I am of the thinking this game will either be a close one; hence, the thought that the forwards will play a big part in the game as it closes out or the Broncos will win quite easily, meaning Haas may see a lot of return ball (20-30 metres at a time) from kick offs.
