987 with 16 men- screw you SJ! Ponga and Watson both with half DPP in the WFB slot and I choose to put RTS on the pine. Somehow still actually entered the top 20 for the first time ever, rank 19. Hard to be sour with that.

Mulvy wrote:Bah, well done Pookus, Matterson's done it seems. Well played.

Thanks mate, I thought I was in trouble when I went down to 16 men but I just got lucky your AE was only 5 points. Good tight matchup though

Main team (Winning Poms) 946, down from 44th to 54th, out to 17th in L1, in L1 final vs qazwsx but 15 players next week without SJ/TTrbo/CM9 and he has a full team, so that's that done. Main aim was top 50 and stay in L1, so not happy.

MEANWHILE Wag team (Alex XXI), 993 and up from 8th to 6th. That team has SJ and CM9 but still has 18 players for next week. 5th is 90 ahead, 3rd 100 ahead but only one of the top five can play a full 17 (assuming no trades). Have a chance... if Smith or Ted rested that's great for that team.

Fifita lost 6 points to 44 in updates (sort of expected as I believe they missed error + penalty)

    Absolute savagery

    Other changes from today are: Bateman 75 to 78, CNK 60 to 63, Wighton 48 to 52, Papalii 60 to 57, McInnes 65 to 67, Matterson 45 to 46

Not sure Lolo is in good shape either, the way he finished the game.

1013 for the round and back into the top 1000 at 893.

I went through with the Smith to Watson trade. I know, I know, hear me out. Used my last two trades doing this and upgrading Burns to the wrong Fifita. Anyway I will have 16 by the looks next week with MC9 and Lomax going down in the last game.

But, the Smith to Watson trade was kind of worth it because I had no half cover on the bench. I had Clocky as 18th man so getting Watson meant I was able to secure his 60 for SJ. Even though that trade would have come in handy next week, I've already used it in a sense this week to secure 60 points, which is well worth it, so I can't be unhappy.

Although, I think with Munster not playing, I don't see Smith sitting out either, so that would bite me. It's unreal how Smith and Watson both scored 74, so this was actually a freaky situation. Would have had 16 and only 953, so vital move.

Although don't see myself staying in the top 1000 with 16 players and a benched Fifita and Crichton (you would think).

Trajan is right, getting the right captain will save some this week.

Interesting that these have changed before the NRL.com app.

Think it's higher ranked team on ladder

It says in rules to see terms and conditions for tie-breakers (mainly for overall points but probably applicable to H2H) and it leads to you page with error 404

Well done mate, you may be able to catch me, I got 973 and ranked 743 and 21612 points, how far behind are ya?

Maybe we will be in the same league next year lol, should be good!

Looks like I'm 46 behind. You have a trade so you'd have to have a disaster for me to catch you. Not gonna happen.

Fifita also dropped the ball and gave a way a penalty just before half time that wasn't picked up in the scoring at first.

I reckon he has one more game in him. He'd still be better than most of his team mates on one leg anyway.

No idea who I’ll bring in, obviously I have to consider David Fifita.

Somehow managed a very respectable 1,005 from my 16 (Thanks, SJ) and went up from 182nd to 153rd (wtf!?)

If we have no SJ and no McInnes next week then I'm down to 15 so expect I'll slide a fair bit, potentially outside the top 200 to finish off the year.

Hoping against hope for a Lachlan Maranta call up! Very Happy

I was cursing the fact my set up cost me Jonas Pearson’s 11 (his highest score for a month). He will be running out for the aardvarks next week....

Big lesson this year is not to trade to red dots for the sake of a bye score (Brittain, Walters). If you're that keen on looping, you'll be getting red dots anyway, and scoring cover is more valuable.

Another big lesson is that halves are plastic. Who didnt go down this year?
