I am looking at JFH as a sneaky POD. 80 minute lock, no RCG, Panthers hopefully playing a bit better. Should be DPP. Depending on price will be high on my list.

Was DPP last year. Started a large chunk of games at prop last year so I wouldn't see why he won't be dual again. Scored 2 tries all last year, hopefully he can clean up those missed tackles and he will be a very good POD. I know there were games where he moved around the field a bit, I think even spent some time at 2RF during games and moved from prop to lock A LOT! Averaged 53 last year I definitely see the potential for improvement.

I remember last season hardly anyone started with Taumalolo just due to price constraints, then he busted a 75 in the first round, and a lot of people were like "damn wish i just started with him". Then got hurt in round 2.

Green has repeatedly shuffled his minutes around, and while minutes are the be all and end all, across 2018/2019, when Lolo plays over 60 mins his average is 65.4 (25 games).

No Bolton or Scott this year, so they will need guys like Molo and Hola to step it up.

I really like the JFH shout, however getting him probably means you cant get Dfifi aswell or Haas (just assuming) and I dont know if that would be worth it.

What are the chances of Kenny on the bench for Koroisau? Cleary wants an 80 min hooker right? Koro should push 50?

There were some quotes somewhere recently where Cleary said 80 is the plan but they'll see how he goes.

EDIT: found them on nrl.com, article was from early December.

"He hasn't done it [played the full 80] for a long time so we'll see how he goes," Cleary said.

"It would be nice if he could, but if he can't we've got Mitch Kenny in the group and that's also where Tyrone May comes into calculations."

Hey guys does anyone have some sort of plan where it shows how much of the cap you should be spending on positions? I am new to fantasy and need some help knowing where the best value will be. I know that the WFB and Centres should be filled with much cheaper options and that forwards get good points.

I forgot that the Panthers signed Capewell.. is he a bench utility for them? Can't see where else he fits in assuming Yeo and Kikau are edges and Whare + Naden centres.

    Looks good for Koro

Further on J. Bateman I read an article on G. Williams & it said among other things that he's very good at putting his backrowers into holes & J. Bateman is a good hole runner.

JFH had off season surgery for a ruptured pec so could be underdone fitness wise at the start of the season.

I don't think there's any hard and fast rule. People tend to spend more in the forwards because they are higher scoring positions and score more consistently. This means their prices are less likely to change whereas the up and down scoring of the backs means you can often pick up a gun back for cheaper at some stage. In terms of how much to spend where, it varies from year to year depending on where the cheapies are. If there were three base price back rowers looking likely to start, people would be picking them and spending the money elsewhere. Last year many teams picked the two starting cheap halves (Keighran and Brown) and spent money elsewhere. I'd say it's too soon to know exactly where the cheapies are coming from this year. That probably doesn't help much, but we'll get more of a sense of it as we get into the trials.

Kevvy Walters seems to view Capewell as a potential QLD centre this year. I mean, the bloke did get a banner playing centre. I do also recall although Naden had a couple good early games his form really dropped off towards the end of the year. Panthers have players like Hame Sele (unsigned), Kayde Ellis, Shawn Blore, Billy Burns, Villiame Kikau, Isiah Yeo, Liam Martin who all have the capability of playing 2RF. Maybe Capewell could be a smokey for a centre position? Again, this is something that trials will surely bring to light.

Last year we had a celeb/community team which ends up being a good template for your own team picks. just add your own flavour.

Also, we'll probably get the assistant coach thread up and running soon which is a good place to share drafts of your team and ask for feedback:
