Our forum Member Booze does a solid job explaining some of the thinking behind picking Guns, Cows, and how each position works...

Do you reckon Booze will do something similar this year? Those posts insane

Koroisau avg of 50.4 in 12 games averaging 75 min before his injury in 2018 and before Fainu came along. Looks tremendous value if he doesn't get too much of a price bump.

What are people's thoughts on Hughes?

In his final 6 games at halfback (including finals) he averaged 47.17 points
If you include the game against Titans where he was named fullback but played in the halves it takes that average up to 49.43

I think Hughes might've spent some time in the halves in round 13 and 20 (since Papenhuyzen played extra minutes off the bench and his preferred position is fullback thus shifting Hughes to the halves)
If that's correct then it would take Hughes' average in the halves up to 51.56

Using the MN of 14500, Hughes would be priced at 38.69

Decent shout, I do believe Hughes is a better fantasy player at Halfback rather than Fullback. He gets his hands on the ball more often. He would've been preparing to play Fullback last year so maybe a whole off-season prepping for a role in the halves he could possibly be better off. Too awkwardly priced for me, but could be a decent POD if he gets going.

He scored the first try of the NRL season last year.

Seems like things are going to be way more open this year. So many potential starting options and the pricing of no brainer picks going up will make it more interesting again.

I don't see why not, it was a successful strategy.
I guess it all depends on how many cheap promising CTR and WFB cashcows will be available. It looks a bit slim pickings atm, but it's early in the season

scott is another likely beneficiary of that combination. interesting stats on leilua last season, bateman started at lock rounds 1 and 2, then moved inside leilua. rounds 3 to 6 leilua averaged over 50 with bateman inside him, then got injured round 7. if scott strikes up a combination with bateman and williams he could be a bolter.

its weird, the switch of hughes and papy was viewed as a failure at the time, so is surprising to see hughes scores improved at the same time

I'm sure there is some money to be made with the increased minutes. It's not easy to determine how much money they'll make. I won't be starting with any of them, but I'm happy to pick one of them up in the early rounds if they show promise.

Huge wraps on Gilbert, averaged 42 fantasy points at lock in qcup but at 19 yrs old unlikely to get a run to start the year. Molo and Hola will have increased roles but McGuire, Lolo and McLean are big minute guys and the cows edges play 80 more often than not. And Green keeps picking Hess regardless of form. Maybe if Asiata went to Titans which was rumoured a while ago. To start the year, I think Molo the most likely to make some money, but I don't think it will be enough to warrant selection.

@mtb if you could add functionality of when players do / don’t play with other team mates, that would be awesome! Do analysis like Cleary playing with/without maloney
