I don’t necessarily mean the pricing of Brailey in particular the pricing of the whole thing. If you were starting out never played before you’d want to get some stars in your team. Looking at some of the teams being posted you can get what 2, 3 at max?? I don’t think this has been the case in previous years I remember when I started and had no idea what I was doing I was able to put several highest price players in and I guessed the rest. Just seems a lot less can be put in nowadays

I actually think the pricing overall has made teams more the same.

There are plenty of guns to choose from if people had the money to spend. We'd see all sorts of picks, but because we can only fit two or three, they are really only the very top tier guns being selected

mtb only made his site in the first place because Fantasy couldn't provide a match centre of their own so he made one himself for us to use. For people who didn't know about his site, the game would have been very tough to play at the start of last year

The fantasy app almost never works in round 1.

That is a bigger factor in retaining users than if some bench hooker costs $100k more. Casual users wouldn't even be aware that the pricing formula has changed

    This.

I joined last year the day before the season started in a 5 team league. All new. Nobody made it past the first few weeks except me, but I’m a super nerd whose been in really competitive draft leagues for years. One bloke couldn’t trade because his only access was the android app which didn’t work.

If they get the platform right, the current NRL fantasy content is pretty decent, and it could build. But supercoach is an absolute juggernaut. I think they would also need ch 9/fairfax to heavily promote it over the news limited offering.

Some cheeky “would you rathers” for each position:
    CS9 (907k) v McInnes (900k)
    Knight (570k) v James dpp (578k)
    Matterson (772k) v Bateman (800k)
    Cleary (785k) v Moses (760k)
    Mbye dpp (508k) v Burns (500k)
    Brimson dpp (462k) v Isaako (471k)

McInnes just because of R12 - but can’t really lose there
Knight... unless Arrow moves to Souths AND James replaces him at lock
    Bateman
Cleary, although almost got convinced to switch to Moses by forum chat yesterday
    Mbye but ideally neither

    Give me

CS9 - Still a gun until he shows us otherwise. Hughes is going to kick the ball less than Croft ever did
James - Ceiling is higher than Knight. Give me the possible 10-15 point increase over 5-7
Bateman - Bateman is terrifying to watch as a non owner. You never know when he is going to have a 20 point play
Moses - I think the upside in Cleary is oversold, Moses at Bankwest is a legitimate captaincy option
Burns - Ideally neither but Burns showed he has potential to be in the upper tier of Centre keepers
Brimson - Ideally neither but I've gone with the better football player here

Once again I feel like 21 man squad is not enough, I have to leave out players I really want to own. Last year Lawrie was my 22nd man all preseason and I ended up trading him in round 2

Why Wade Graham? Doesn't ever go over low 40's. Expecting increased role with the ball hog gone? Better luck with injuries would help I suppose. Priced at 40, something I'm missing?

Yeah im pretty much hoping for a slightly increased role and i think if he gets a good run with injuries then he will improve. He was basically my last picked and i am thinking of downgrading him to Williams and upgrading Lomax or my bench

Yeah but he’s mad expensive and has an injury which might mean he’s a bit underdone R1

JFH is a great player both in real life & fantasy because he gives 100% & rips in so he's 1 of my favourite players but remember he had off season surgery for a torn pec so fitness wise he could be underdone come round 1 & they might play him for less mins until he's 100% fit.

Those debating Isaako, just remember this guys preferred position is fullback, and quite a pedigree at fullback too. He made a name for himself at fullback in 2017, I believe in the QLD Cup and was named Fullback of the Year before being a regular in the Broncos in 2018 on the wing.

One other thing to note after watching most of the Broncos games, is the oppositions insatial desire to kick to Cory Oates wing on as many occasions as they can. This in turn has dramatically lowered Isaakos kick return metres and of course the valuable TB points.

This guys is one of my first picked, simply due to the positional change and what seems to be a better attacking Broncos set up this year than last. Don't forget more tries means more kicks at goals too.

    Just my 2c!

Anyone seen that J. Reynolds video where he's abusing that women who is in bed & just letting loose with his mouth. When the assault issue came up I thought he seems a really nice guy & he was the last person who would do that but after watching that video I'd say he's more than capable of assault because he seems to get angry & flip pretty easily.

Talking about ultimate POD's some pages back, I have Luke Keary. Shocked there has been very little to no talk about this guy. Particularly at his price compared to other dominant halves pairings (DCE, Cleary, Moses)

He's definitely on my radar, with Cronk retiring and becoming the dominant half, there should be upside.

Seeing lots of value in the halves though, where I currently have Luai, Brimson, Watson and Mann as options for that position as well, all should be at least as undervalued.

Speaking of Keary, Flanagan was a shocker for turning back infield last year, which isn't great for POD Manu, if that continues.
