Anyone see value in the Warriors side, I kind feel like Egan may be a trap.

If Douiehi gets the 14 jersey as well Su’a could even get possibly a few more minutes.multiple.scoregasms wrote:
Those of us picking Su'a are doing so with the expectation his minutes will be somewhere around 60. Having an 80 minute hooker leaves South a spare interchange to use on the backrow, it's expected Su'a will be the one to have a break most weeks

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2
It was mentioned a few pages back the impact of Keary without Cronk. Quick analysis has found some possible value
2019:
3 games without Cronk for an average of 54.3
16 games with Cronk for an average of 39.5(including injury affected 3 in 8 minutes
Most importantly Keary's season average kick metres increased from 233 per game to 374 per game without Cronk. Note Latrell was 5/8 in 2/3 of these games and barely kicked the ball. Priced at just over 40 average seem like very little downside(aside from injuries) with plenty of upside

Egan is the only potential value I am seeing. Agree he could be a trap though, has the role by default, no guarantees he keeps the position when others come back from injury.

Wow C. Scott apparently has been charged with assaulting a police officer & he had to be tasered. This is an update from Buzz Rothfield.

I'm leaning heavily towards starting with Sua. Saw a pic of him the other day and he looks trimmed right down from this time last year. He's a really talented footballer who hasn't reached his potential. Could be his year now that he has a settled position and a full off season to get his game right

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2
Souths 2nd rowers barely played 80 minutes last year. Sutton and Surgess were subbed more often than they played out the game (I guess some of those were injuries/HIA)
Ethan Lowe actually had better average minutes than either of them in the game he started (6 starts in 2nd row for 41 points in 75 minutes)
I think him and Su'a, if they get both the starting row spots will be hard to ignore as a pair.

I'd be happy enough to pick SuA if he is going to get 65 mins. 80 would be a bonus..priced at 28 I think he can average 40 to 45

Lowe is priced at about 29 I believe and I believe he can also average 40 to 45.my tv broke wrote:I'd be happy enough to pick SuA if he is going to get 65 mins. 80 would be a bonus..priced at 28 I think he can average 40 to 45
I definitely think I’m gonna go lighter on in the back row, at this stage I can’t fit David Fifita in unless with 1 near basement price player in my starting halves and I don’t think I want to do that at this stage.

As Milch said, hard to ignore either. Not a lot of competition for the edge spots at Souths

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2
My team just picked itself. I included everyone I wanted and didn’t leave anybody out. This must surely be some kind of sign? I actually seriously doubt it will change unless TLT throws some crazy curveballs. The only point of contention is whether I run Merrin or Knight at FRF, they are priced so similarly it won’t affect my budget and whilst I would prefer Knight I will be running both Lowe and Su’A so I am always wary of having too many in the same forward pack because the wrong game conditions could wreck havoc on scoring. I have about 4 or 5 weeks to think about this one position now. What an easy ordeal this 2020 season is shaping up to be.... (Famous last words)

Now watch half the team get injured in preseason, arrested or surprisingly not selected.

Hadn't considered round 12 yet
This pushes me towards BBrailey, RJames, Merrin(don't rule out Origin), Matterson, Moses

Wow well mate you are an elite player, I’m trying to get there but I am finding it harder than you picking a squad this season tbh.Pookus McFly wrote:My team just picked itself. McInnes, RJames, Merrin, Matterson, NBrown, Lowe, Moses, Arey, Norman and Gutho could all be in the origin mix depending on injuries, form, Queensland desperation or whatever crazy shit Freddy dreams up while channelling Steve Jobs
