Has anyone had a crack at a team with stacked halves? I quite like the structure since there is value in most other positions

Some of my favourites for how "Get [insert last name]" is going to screw a few rookies this year...

    HOK: J. Cook, J. Brailey, B. Smith
    FRF: D. Fifita, O. Kaufusi
    2RF: L. Bateman, J. Cartwright, B. Sironen, B. Burns
DWZ and MWZ both at WFB

Special shout-out to the 3x Katoas, 3x Hopoates, 3x Crichtons and 8x SMITHS!

    No gun prop, big call!

I don’t think I can watch Brisbane play and not have Haas who will continue on from last season I reckon, I’m gonna save myself the stress and nightmares I reckon and start with Haas and just out the C on him early on!

I just had a crack of making a team starting with 2 gun halves. Thoughts? NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 2 - Page 35 Screen16

What’s all this talk of Merrin? Has he changed back from the fat waste of space he was before going to super league?

Career average of 49.3 at lock certainly has some upside

Anyone thinking of Merrin give yourself an upper cut. Fat slow and the game has passed him by.

Will be gassed after 20 minutes and prob not make the team by the end of the season.

He has been just fine for Leeds. Why would I care what he’s like at the end of the season?
As always, your advice is way off the mark but welcome back bud Smile

Not all wine improves with age.

Would have to have a big preseason game to remotely tempt me, that or the team structure all but guarantees minutes.

Im sort of thinking the same. Will he still be able to handle the pace of the nrl. Hopefully preseason gives us an idea

They have big wraps on this rookie Smith-Shields & Simonsson said he's pushing him hard at training

Trent Merrin was always a workhorse. It doesn’t matter if he is slow from a fantasy perspective, as long as he gets through a stack of tackles and hit ups. He was named captain of the Rhinos about halfway through his first season there so he is obviously not one to shirk the hard work. Also I think the emotional homecoming to his old Dragons club will fuel him for a few rounds as he looks to impress the old faithful. All I need is to see him picked at 13 on TLT and I’m sold. Obviously part of the appeal is that I can put him in the tricky FRF position, I wouldn’t touch him if he was only available in 2RF

I think Knight is better value than Merrin at this stage.

I’ll wait and see how Merrin goes in the CS.

Was having another think about this, it probably depends on who is GK for Warriors as to whether Egan is a trap for the early rounds, as Luke was their primary GK last year and left (when Keighran and CHT didn't play)

Basically if CHT is starting over Nikorima as GK, Egan would probably have less chance of mins as Nikorima would probably play greater mins from utility

Other alternative for GK is Herbert at CTR but Hiku is probably guaranteed one CTR spot with Milne/Herbert/Pompey/Beale battling over other CTR spot
