4th Annual NRLFF Meetup - Sydney Edition, 2021

Looks like I’m heading up to Brissie on Saturday/Sunday with my dad and brother in law. Tickets booked elsewhere, but Would be great to catch up for a beer around the ground!

Brisbane is pretty small and easy to get around if everything near the stadium is booked out, and how keen you are on a walk/uber/scooter. Scooters are cheap AF and fun to get around on after a few beers. Or an uber to that area would be about 10 bucks

I'd probably check out South Bank or West End if around the stadium is booked up.

Accommodation is basically booked out everywhere or $450+ a night (price gouging bastards!). Looks like I might hafta train down and get the missus to come get me after the games are done.

Now to attempt to sweet talk here into the 90minute drive into Bris traffic... This is gonna cost me!

Trains arrive at 11:07am or 12:37pm. What time we thinking of meeting?

I'll be in Brisbane all day with nothing else to do, so happier with an earlier meetup

I'm gonna get in at 12:30. Gives us 2.5hrs before the game and saves me sitting around at a pub smashing copious amounts of beers in my own if people don't wanna come in at 11. Sound OK? If others are gonna get there earlier I'll just get the earlier train

That's fine. I don't really want to be drinking from 11am anyway

Community transmission in Sydney. The guy apparently has no links to quarantine so I'd say 90% chance QLD and WA close the borders.

I waited till I figured I couldn’t wait any longer practicality wise to finalise everything as well. Still hope but looking a little grim.
