58th in rankings. Probably too far away to win it, but will keep plugging
Have a game against a dead team in the eliminator
Bringing in a 2RF this week to join McInnes and Tauamalolo
Who will score most points in last 12 rounds - Crichton, Tohu, Matterson, Jurbo the main choices

Rounds out my halves with SJ joining Cleary, DCE and Williams
Bye in the eliminator this week
I like the 4 halves strategy, if they all click on the same week then you're looking at huge scores. Besides, they're all pretty consistent this year which is rare for halves, and scoring really well

1 vote Matterson. I see they put a little note on him this week saying he's the highest scoring 2RF this year and is opposition, position and team makeup proof (paraphrased) which is hard to disagree with. Depends what you want out of your player I guess.

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Crichton has outscored Matterson since the restart and his move to edge starter
Jurbo not quite as high but cheaper which may matter for future upgrades.
Tohu probably a step behind those 2, especially with potential for Tevaga's return to impact him

I'm too far back to have a shot at overall so giving myself a PODish strategy for a shot at eliminator

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
The best eliminator strategy is to not trade if you are going to win your match up.
Unless there is a top 17 player who you need to bring in for cash reasons (because they have bottomed out or your trade out target has maxxed cash)

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Think I like Angus over Ryan Matterson as 2RF
Just short of Taupau in as well for Luciano, although looking at Taupau's stats he's not quite as good in this game as in fantasy
George Williams to DCE another consideration, but might be a bit sideways

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Dropped 16 places to 74th but not surprising as i went double cash cow last week and now have $603k to spend. i’ve got a very winnable eliminator, but still don’t think it’s worth leaving that much cash on the bench.
Thanks for the BEs Milchy. i’d agree with all your conclusions- i’m a bit worried about Matterson without Moses and Tohu with Tevaga coming back soon apparently. Angus doesn’t seem to have any such question marks.

I must be playing a dead team in the eliminator as he has D. Fifita (c)

My opponent could field a 17, but considering he has Moses and Katoa starting I figure it's a dead team. Although he does have HTF so maybe just not a big updater

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Can someone help me with the BE for Sam Stone playing for the Titans this weekend and Luke Thompson at the doggies? Cheers

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Scored 1,111 this week and moved into 84th.
Thinking of doing following trades which almost finishes my 17:
Murray -> Crichton
JTB -> Taupau
Grant (Koro)
Haas, Carrigan (Klemmer, Taupau)
McInnes, Tolo, Crichton (JTrbo)
SJ, Cleary
Yeo, Talau
Ponga, Tedesco, Lomax

Prices in this comp don't change until you've played 3 games. Stone and Thompson's prices won't change this week

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
So with eliminator, is ranking based on weekly or overall rank each week?
Pretty sure it's weekly rank but a couple of earlier posts here seem to tend otherwise.

I ranked 64th in round 8 so I really don't know. I always thought it was weekly but with 3222 teams it doesn't add up (supposed to be top 2048 vs bottom 2048). They must have worked out how many brackets they needed and trimmed the Eliminator down to match
