I'll try for one reasonably priced guy and one cheapie. Not spending much there.

Additionally I'll carry another in NPR and see if I can't jag the right selection week in/week out.

Capewell looks good if he starts. If not I might have to spend on Burns.

I'll take Best as the other. Perhaps Moga in NPRs or Milne if he gets a start (seems like a chance..)

EDIT will also have Lomax but probably at WFB.
You’re not keen on a back 3 of Papenhuyzen, Brimson and Isaako?

If Angus is outside Flanagan I would be worried because at the Sharks Flanagan would not pass to his 2fr & turned the ball inside.
Not good news then for those of us that are thinking of starting with Friend.

Are ownership percentages correct for this season?

I had Burns in my earlier drafts, but I needed the $$$ to fit in the likes of Haas, McInnes & Moses.
It's still early and hope there will be some cheap cows for the WFB/CTR position, but I'm currently not aware of any

Last year we had cheap ctrs available like burns, bird and Nikora but people still went mid range with holland and Capewell. This year I feel like Burns falls in the mid range category.

This year Best, Lomax and Milne if picked seem like good options

Thoughts on today’s team for me:

    McInnes
    Haas James
    Stimson D. Fifita Su’a
    Cleary Mann
    Lomax Milne
    Papenhuzyen Isaako Brimson

    Carrigan Koro B. Brailey, Grant
    Luai Magoulias 228k 228k

    18k spare.

Rein averaged 71 minutes last season, the value isnt there like it was the previous season at 43 mins

I meant in the scenario Milch described where he makes a bunch of low-minute bench appearances then gets an 80 minute role when Peats breaks down.

Clearly nobody is considering Rein right now.

Our teams share 15/19 players and 10/13 starters so naturally it will be hard for me to be too critical. I think your team is well balanced and while the likes of Milne/Carrigan/Grant are 'wait and see' propositions i think they potentially offer considerable value.

I've got a few different preferences, but I can see value in all your choices. I personally don't think Mann will be the man this season. Also I've picked Friend over DFafita, but if Difi doesn't start from the bench Rd 1, I may change my mind.

    Happy with this team

I like the adventurous nature of this. Harris (assuming it's of the Tohu variety, and not the James Fisher variety) was heavily earmarked by me at the end of last year but I was a bit taken aback by his price and therefore lost interest, but he's still good value, imo. I was just hoping for a bit cheaper...

I made a lead balloon post about Ash Taylor a few pages back too. Something about him makes me believe this is his year. Maybe not 100% verified keeper level, but I'm expecting major improvements.

DWZ solid choice at that price too.

I may still go with Friend but if it looks like he’s coming off after 55-60mins and Verrills is coming on I won’t go with Friend, talk has been Friend will share that hooking role with Verrills and Friend is fine with playing less minutes.

Happy new season gentlemen (and Hannah) Smile

Things I didn’t expect to see when checking in for the first time...
    - everyone is on Knight and/or Su’a Neutral
    - Isaako the fullback of choice
    - no teddy or ponga to be seen
    - everyone going cheap at hooker (not much Captain Cook around)

    In for an interesting season!

If Seibs doesn’t at least play David Fifita 60mins he’s an idiot imo!

    Surely Fifita plays 60mins!

I don’t think at this stage I can carry both McInnes and Friend, it’ll be one or the other.

I do feel McInnes is the more safe keeper option and a great captaincy option for round 12 and a good captaincy choice if he plays 80mins between hooker and lock I think his average will go even higher.

I’m off to MTB’s site now to study Friend for the last 5-6 seasons if it lets me!

What I need to try and figure out is if it’s better to start with Mann and D. Fifita or better to start with Croft and Williams/Luciano, it’s a hard one!
