Having croft over Mann screws my backline up a bit..best takes isaako.. Is it worth it
Very similar to drafts I have done, yes hard to decide on Croft and Best or Mann and Isaako, I’m having the same problem.

I’ve found if I put Friend at hooker then I can accomodate both Croft and Isaako.

McInnes at hooker probs mean I can only afford one of Croft and Isaako and I’d have to bring in Mann or Best instead for one of Croft or Isaako into my team.

I like it, not having Haas makes a big difference on who else you can have. Who would your captain be, Taumalolo?

Light on in the front row for sure but looks decent.

What would you do if Haas averages 70 to start the season and his price doesn’t come down?

I can’t see myself spending that much at centre.

If Haas averages what he is priced at I don't see a problem. But I don't believe that is achievable. In 2013 Cameron Smith averaged 70.81 and that included 2 scores of 100. That included a whopping 43.2 tackles per game to go along with 33 missed tackles all year(an effective tackle percentage of 97%). He also only had 8 errors and 7 penalties all year. It took a super human effort for Smith to average 70, which would see Haas's price increase approximately 6k in the first 5 weeks. I think I'll take that risk

I'm going for lots of cheap players and sub-guns that have value. Means I will need to play some cheaper players to make it work. Would rather it be Mann and Luai than a bench forward.

When would you bring Haas in though, is there any point bringing him in around Round 6-7 if he’s then playing origin a month after anyways?

I won’t be starting with that mate in the halves, could get me into a mess I don’t wanna be in.

You don’t wanna get caught with too many mid rangers, I’ll be looking to start with 4 guns if I can.

That is the question if not starting with Hass. When to bring him in, if he plays origin do you hold him over the origin period or do you sell him to use those funds and buy him back again. Thats alot of trades on one player.

In reality my halves are Brimson and Mann, but Brimson is better on the bench as he is dual.

That was my big concern when it did cross my mind about not starting with him!

Like potentially those who don’t start with him may be without him til round 18 or 19, that’s just a massive gamble and could be costly I reckon.

MTB traded in Cook last year around that time and was 2nd till the final round. I have no concerns with bringing in Haas as soon as it makes sense

He is gonna be getting 30 minutes off the bench in Origin. I don't see it impacting his club minutes at all

Just throwing a few names together... seems I'm leaning towards value 2RF at this point. Heavy hookers. Very simlar draft to most that have been posted.

    Cook or McInnes
    Haas + 300-400 FRF
    3 x 400-500 2RF (most options have been posted)
Moses + Doueihi (cant afford Croft at this point)
    Lomax + Best
    Pap + Isaako + Brimson

    Friend + Koro + Brailey + Grant
    Luai + 3 x 250

A bit exposed at 2RF, hopefully can score heavy enough anyway. Hmmm

Mine arent generally typical mid-rangers, guys like David Fifita, Garner, Burns that are underpriced, but should score as well as the full priced guns.

I am trying to include Ponga. When you look at his scoring, he started in the halves and scored poorly, had a great run where he showed what he is capable of (50+ each game), then later in the season stopped goal kicking and appeared to finish the season injured, so for 2/3rds of the season he wasn't scoring as well as he should have. I expect him to come out firing with 50+ scores each round from the start.

Ponga's scoring mirrored the knights pretty well.
When they were winning, Ponga scored well. When the Knight's form dropped off, so did Ponga's scoring.

I think his value depends a bit on how you expect the Knights to go this year

I think the cause and effect is more when Ponga was in the right position, on fire and not playing injured, Knights were winning, not the other way around.
