Surprised not to have seen Jack Bird in any teams. Seibold loves attacking the left edge and Bird showed his potential early last year. Priced at 39, averaged 43.6 and only scored 2 tries last year. Solid base in tackles(average 18) and run metres(average 109) means he will rarely give you a stinker

I like him. Had him to start last season and was not disappointed. But first year back from ACL and he's a Centre. It's a lot of money to spend. Centre is the position you either pay for the outright gun or cheap

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 3
Managed to put together a team that includes almost everyone I want. Weak in the front row, but there has to be a compromise somewhere.

Matterson, Fifita, Su'a
Cleary, Doueihi
Mitchell, Best
Pappy, Brimson, Isaako

Burns
Leilua
Serena Williams
Tapine
DWZ
Mikaele
Suli
Who am I missing out on having in my team and why?
Also, any storm fans that can give us an idea on what role is expected for tino this year? Going to titans on huge money so must have some wraps on him
I'd love to take a punt on Herman. I can see potential for him to score well this season. The only thing is that he comes at an awkward price.

Are he and Fifita likely to be the same side?

Glenn is the preferred left second row with Fifita preferred on the right, hard to see them changing this year

In games (includes both interchange and 2RF) over 40 mins, he averaged 47, putting him 12 points over his priced average. You'd probably expect 50 mins as well
There's some team drafts where I'm like 10k short of the team I want and it's so hard to rejig the team because there's a lot of price points where just below where all the good options are it's a wasteland of overpriced players (particularly when shuffling around D Fifita and the ~570k FRFs)
I think it's important to point out, that in those games where he played over 40 min, he actually averaged 62 minutes to get those 47 points. So he doesn't need over forty, or fifty minutes as you say, he needs 60+.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 3
Looking at Roosters preseason training photos Ikuvalu is nowhere to be seen and not on injured list so that probably rules him out for the left centre spot. Looks like Asu Kepaoa has gotten a few reps in the centres
EDIT:
Taking some analysis from jerseys being worn it looks like this squad is training as "first team" in prep for WCC with the rest "scout team"
1.Teddy
2.Tupou
3.Manu
4.Bmoz/Kepaoa
5.Bmoz/Kepaoa
6.Keary
7.Flanagan
8.JWH
9.Friend
10.SST/Liu
11.Cordner
12.Crichton/Aubbo
13.Radley
14.Crichton/Aubbo
15.SST/Liu
16.Butcher
17.Tupouniua
Means Verills and Collins likely to miss out

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 3
Roosters probably end up with Morris at Centre Hall on the wing
Brimson also had about 3 long range tries called back on dodgy decisions, he has real go big potential, what you’d need is for him to hit that the first 3 weeks and as soon as that one low score comes cash out

Ponga Yeo the Mann wrote:Can I get an upvote for Brimson and downvote for Isaako going lads?
Feel free to share why too. I feel like the broncos are on for a better year and the titans have a harder start, but brimson is the slightly better fantasy prospect
I'd wondered this too, so thanks for asking. I haven't had Isaako in a draft yet and I've had Brimson from the start, but I did wonder if Isaako's goal kicking particularly might make him a slightly more solid option. For me it was weighing up if I go with who I think is the better player (and hopefully therefore better scorer) or the weaker player, imo, but who also kicks goals.
For now I'm sticking with Brimson but I'd also like to be able to squeeze Isaako in. I did try, but it comes at too great a sacrifice elsewhere.
In general, the prices on most starting fullbacks this year is very tempting. Edwards, Gutho, DWZ, Isaako, Brimson, Doueihi, Moylan and Lomax all very "cheap." Paps and Holmes not far off.
It's very sad, especially as an Eels fan, that the one I'd consider least is Gutho. Moylan next for injury history. But aside from those two, it's a pretty wide selection for starting fullbacks. Just wish another one or two were DPP. But there's really very little reason to roll the dice with any wingers in your team this year unless base-priced cows.

I noted he was underpriced when the Broncos prices guest came out.
in teams I've made I've been paying the extra for Burns, or going cheaper, so he doesn't often make the cut, but ye is hanging around the short-list

Haha that’s true. Seems crazy to pick attacking players from poor teams but at fb for them his record is good
It's worth noting that Tedesco was the best FB in fantasy long before he went to the Roosters

Mulvy wrote:Francis Molo. Priced at 25.8. I'm expecting about 35 minutes as first interchange and he goes at almost a point a minute. Will make a bit of cash but with Scott and Bolton gone he's probably only one injury away from starting and making a shit tonne. It goes against my policy of avoiding midrange bench forwards who may or may not get more minutes, but he'll definitely make money, just a matter of whether it's enough to warrant selection. Thoughts?
Pookus McFly wrote:
I like Molo, simply because I have always liked players with that ruthless aggression (astute fans of the trait will remember admiring TPJ back when when he was just a humble 25 minute benchie), and accidents aside it’s probably a big part of what led him to kill a man on the football field. But what steers me away from him is purely just Green as coach. He’s probably the worst of all for playing his bench players for 7 minutes, then panicking if the opposition scores a try and bringing all his starters back on again no matter how exhausted they are
What kind of minutes do we expect from the Cowboys forward pack with Scott & Bolton gone?

My first draft:
Friend
Taukeiaho Knight
Williams Lowe Su'A
Brimson Cleary
Lomax Mitchell
Papenhuyzen Ponga Isaako
Koroisau Brailey Stimson Grant
Luai + 744K in the bank for NPRs
Going with a decent combination of backs and lots of mid-range (hopefully) money-earners in the forwards.

are there any cheaper captain-worthy options? Obviously it's a risk, but possibly one you can get away with early in the season.

I’m torn on Isaako and Brimson right now. Can probs just fit one in.
If some cheaper options come at centre I could then fit both in.

Probably the first team I’ve seen with a decent fb. Knight, su’a and Lowe in the one team seems a touch risky.
I like the idea of having a gun ctr to start. Save a trade, but it’s a fucking lottery who to start with. Normally I just start with Croker, but he is slowing up

Brisbane will score more points this year and he will make more running metres and have more tackle breaks.Fortitude wrote:

So hard to pick, both he and Brimson could explode.
