Implication seems to be that Storm are struggling with cap space for the extra money Momo costs over Grant.

Couldn't it still be in the Storm's interests to just loan Grant out? They don't get the extra benefit of a player in return, but main priority was to get Grant NRL time before taking over from Smith next year. Wouldn't write the whole thing off yet. (Caveat - possible fantasy goggles)

Is he improving enough with a season under his belt to get more game time? Possibly, but even as a starter he had been getting big minutes

Storm rarely do anything that would be a favour to another team. Grants time will come regardless. Storm just want a centre and not have to pay for it.

And I think the NRL are spot on to enforce the money for Momo to come off their cap

I agree. As great as it would be for Grant and fantasy, it needs to come off the cap otherwise if you give people an inch.

Just caught up on the last 2 days of posts. This latest Sizzler development has really thrown me.

Not having Grant has forced my to tone down the gun backs a bit and put a bit more into 2RF, especially as I assumed Su'A would be playing big minutes. I hope I am not the one who makes going for value a stupid decision Still going Smith/Friend (C, VC) Koroisau made his way back in. He does have quite a lot of value with no other recognised HOK in the team really. Hard to knock him back

I was already having trouble choosing between Burns and Aubbs at a similar price point, and now Mbye enters the fray at around the same value. I seem to recall somebody posting that he does not historically score well at hooker, but geez it is still tempting to have a hooker in that tricky centre position with their bankable tackle points. Right now I have only Burns in, but it’s awful tempting to build my team around those two non-centres and run under the guise of the less actual centres the better.

Haha! My Dad's side of the family has a long history in Rocky. Place also has one of the best named suburbs in the entire history of forever-Berserker!
