Surprised by the lack of DCE as a gun half option. Super consistent and has the ability to go large. Is it price scaring most off with Moses available for 60k cheaper?

Probably not but then I think of Kikau a couple of seasons ago where he would come off the bench & score 50 points off 2 plays & end up on 50+ playing stuff all minutes.
2 years ago I had Kikau in pre-season, but panic traded him out a couple of minutes before lockout when he went to the bench. Was not a move that worked well for me.

I would have Cleary and Moses before DCE
If it wasn't for origin I'd have Cleary as first choice halfback for sure.
No real value in DCE (maybe if he got goal kicking back he'd be worth it)

I'd agree that I personally have Cleary and Moses ahead of him. Think DCE might be viable as part of a 3 half set up for those that want to stack one position

I'm mainly put off DCE due to:
(a) hard opening draw (STORM, ROOSTERS, warriors, raiders, KNIGHTS) - that's 3 of the 2019 beast teams re the Storm, Roosters & Raiders. I know you don't place much emphasis on the draw
(b) Jurbo/AFB possibly out at season start affecting go forward
(c) plays origin (I forgot but think he's the current Q'land hlf)
(d) price - why should I pay more than Moses when Moses has a great opening draw
(e) DCE isn't the gk

McLean and McGuire I can’t see playing less than 50mins though, both play big minutes.Chewie wrote:
Esesesssseseee will be coming of the bench with Klemmer and Daifiti starting, I reckon he'll do well, but he comes at an akward price.
Molo's cheap, and will get 30+ minutes with Scott & Bolton Ltd. gone, I think he can avg about 35ish (like the last few rounds of 2019)
Mikaele's stats don't really fill me with confidence
I think a 40min Mikaele will be slightly better than a 29-30mins Molo.

If Guerra starts in the second row with Fitzgibbon I can see Fitzgibbon playing 80mins, but would anyone be concerned Guerra comes off just after 50mins in with Sione Mata’utia coming on?
Also if David Fifita starts off the bench is say 55mins gonna be enough for him to average over 50? I don’t think those minutes will be enough and I could make more money with a guy like Jack Williams.

Guerra - I can see that happening for sure imo he's past his best & won't play 80 mins
D. Fifita - if he starts on the bench he won't be in my team

Some teams like Parra and the Sharks are playing nearly with a whole team of first graders for these 9’s. They’ll be sorry if they pick up several injuries to key players.

Scott bolton played avg 37 minutes off the bench last year and they've lost Scott as well. There is no way Molo plays in that small window of 29-30 minutes, especially as he's been one of their best forwards.

Sharks have dedicated their 9s to Fine Kula, they will be motivated to win it

Which combo do you guys rate more?
A: Taumalolo + Brimson + Koro
B: Cleary + Burns + Koro
C: Cook + Burns + Mikaele

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 5
DWZ is under valued due to playing a lot of wing last year (6 games) and I think the dogs will do better as a whole his year which will obviously help his scoring. He could quite possibly become a cheapie if someone decent shows up before rd1 or I could upgrade him to Brimson but I'm not entirely sold on him as much as others are either.Mulvy wrote:
Looking pretty good, quite similar to mine. I prefer Molo over Mikaele but am not convinced on either. Tell me about DWZ? What do you see happening there?

I agree with this, Molo more likely to play closer to 40 mins, with someone like Hola being eased in with 20 odd minutes

Molo might be the better option but I don't know if I'll be able to cope with watching a player's score being on 0 for the first 20 mins after all the planning over the pre-season
