Must show Robinson takes the WCC quite seriously. WCC squad apparently leaves Thursday for game on 23rd Feb which could be interesting as only players close to 17 are Collins, Verrills and maybe Kepaoa so could be fantasy ramifications from that (Friend mainly)

Doesnt say much for Verrills 1st grade hopes this season.

Molo played 7 games last year where he played between 30-40mins and he averaged 32.6 I’m not sure there is enough upside there.

Just as expected, Friend has always been a big minute player and Robbo has always liked a big minute hooker+4 forward bench

I’m not a frequent poster here. I tend to lurk in the background and observe quietly. My dear deceased mum always said, “son....you’re a legend”. So I believed it, and here I am.

You summed things up, I think, with the “minimal game time”. I’ve seen a bit of him over a few years watching everything league. As I do. Every half had a ‘better’ passing side. So do most hookers. Even Andrew Johns, the goat, and Wally the equal goat, preferred r-l passes. They were ok opposite side, but you didn’t see 20 metre passes that weaker direction from either of them. They normally bobbled instead of spiralled.

So does this kid. He’s a left side half. Yep, his l-r pass is stronger than opposite, but fuck he’s a good player. How that converts to fantasy points, I don’t really know. I think his price is cheap, but risky. If he does the kicking in general play at Canberra, he’s gold.

Just my 2 bucks worth (inflation).

Mikaele played 5 games between 34-40mins last season for an average of 33.8.

When he played 7 games between 34-45mins he averaged 38.1.

I can’t see any reason why he doesn’t step up a little and play 40mins this season if he starts regularly.

That parameter of mins excludes a few games actually better than those scores with 33 in 22 mins (no try), 43 in 21 mins (try), 31 in 22 mins (no try), 39 in 21 mins (try) so there definitely is a bit of upside there

You honestly shouldn't expect much from that price, more of an enabler to fit more guns in

Molo was playing 30-plus minutes off the bench by the end of the season and Green is impressed with his development.

"Frank Molo has improved out of sight in the last few years and got our coach's award last year," Green told NRL.com.

"He's always had that physicality about how he plays and he has a good offload and can get good second phase going for us. The thing I like about Frank is that he has worked really hard physically, so his body shape has changed and he's knocking out a lot more minutes and is a lot more reliable to leave out there for longer."

Green said Hola reminded him of a younger version of Molo.

"He got a bit of a taste of NRL towards the back end of the season … and just needs to get used to the pace of the game and that effort on effort stuff," Green said.

"He has good footwork and a good offload in him as well and the experience he had with Tonga in the [World Cup] Nines would have given him a lot of confidence."

Looks right and if that team is named round 1, you would have to be brave not to select Friend.

Robbo will still name Verrills in the 17 in round 1 only for him to drop out an hour before kick off haha

Will have to check when NSW cup plays.

Potentially zero players from their round 1 top 17

Collins, Verrills and Ikuvalu the only 3 first graders, and they are fringe players

Shot 75 today. Heavy track. 4 birdies. Couple of three putts. Few chunked chips. Few flyers left me short sided to back pins. Not happy really, but when Souths win the Comp this year, I’ll forget about that.

Some of these players are still going to go on the WCC. They will fly back after the nines then head off again. Verills is likely to be one of those players.

McGuire 60mins
Taumalolo 64 mins
