Does he really dominate Jack Wighton? A guy who had a breakout year getting called up to Origin in his first year in the halves. Given the raiders also have the first round bye I wouldn't feel the need to rush him in at all. There were 8 halves who averaged 50+ last season so scoring 50's isn't the holy grail.

It is when they are prices 10 points lower than that with the potential to go higher

OOooh! I was looking at that a while ago, and a certain physio suggested probably wouldn't get the start. but defo interested.

The good thing about selling Haas, IF you must, is that you can pretty much bring in any two players you want.

The way I remember it, there was anguish expressed about this and quite a lot of it. I can remember some folk famously trading out other guns to get him in. He will average mid 50s and I will avoid these silly trades on something more worthwhile.

Bateman was priced at 40 and averaged 60 in a position which is usually a shit fight with hardly any good options.

Williams is priced at 44 in a position where there are lots of options who regularly average over 50.

    It's hardly a comparison.

I'm probably starting Haas, and probably selling him over origin. Will depend on other trades I need to make, whether there's any mail on restings before origin, and what his break even is and any other variables I can't think of right now given it's a long way away.

It's an interesting question though. I don't think getting Haas in after six rounds is a problem money wise (if you haven't made enough by then, you're doing it wrong and won't do well anyway). But for some reason I don't like the idea of trading him in after six rounds, out again for origin and back in afterwards, 3 trades. He's a must have for final 17.
The question I guess is how much is a trade worth? I know it used to be said 100k but my Final team last season was worth 14.5M from the 9.6M starting price. so using 34 trades that works out to be 144k, let's say 150k with this season's inflation. I could see Haas coming down to 850 range in the first 6 weeks. What sort of scoring would he have to do to lose that much?

Can anyone really trust an Englishman who isn't a forward? Somebody has to break the mould but it feels kinda like hoping the Warriors come good

Assuming he averages the same score every week:

If you mean five rounds and trade in for round six - 52-53
If you mean after six rounds - 54-55

Just noticed this in the rules for this season, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the second 4-trade round last season on R14? What's the logic in doing it for R15?

"Before the season begins you can make as many Trades as you like, but after Round 1 you are limited to two Trades per week for standard weeks and four trades for rounds 12, 15 & 16, up to a maximum of 34 trades for the season."

It all depends on the trials and TLT, but I think he'll be able to get back to his 2018 level.

May be wishful thinking then. I was gun-ho about not starting Haas this season but the more you look at it your basically playing for the guy to get injured

Wow, good spot! I can only assume it's because rd 15 falls after the 2nd origin (?) and so there is more likely to be origin restings and injuries perhaps?

Edit: although IIRC when rd 14 came around last year it didn't immediately come up with 4 trades available immediately. It's like they forgot about it and then had to code it mid week. Maybe it was meant to be round 15 last year but they fucked up and then had to change it on the run.

Yep, correct. Seems a weird scheduling for Origin but is actually 18/17 days either side of Game 2. Meaning no NRL apart from Origin between 14th and 25th June. Might book in for some leave Smile
