2 early 50s and a sub half century would do nicely mate although more chance of Capewell missing less than 1 tackle a game than that happening

Although fantasy works in mysterious ways, would be just like the gods to strike him down R1 with a 65 minutes 43 score Very Happy

Indeed I've got 47.9 career wise for Turbo at FB 70min+.

    BUT, same parameters, 2018 avg 50.4, 2019, 52.7.

Did the same mate, I'll take the 31 game sample over the 10 as the latter more of an indication of Big purple patch

Personally I think there is/will be plenty of value at WFB with mid range or cheapies. And by the nature of their position, one or two of the guns is bound to be cheaper at some point. Someone mentioned it being a tough position, but I don't see it that way. With Bateman and Nikora no more, I see centre and as always FRF the hardest positions.

Whilst there is some good value at WFB with the likes of Brimson and Issaako popular, my current thought was going semi big there and hoping to jag a huge score off one of the big time WFB players with 100 potential and get an early jump

Mate, no problem with that. I originally didn't have a gun at 2RF with the value there, but like you am keen on the idea of having a gun that can go large. We're talking about ceiling here, rather than average. Currently, I've kinda, almost, got one of those guys in every position I think.

I can just see Boyd being named @ CTR, Bird @ FB and Isaako @ W, resulting in a mad scramble at WFB on TLT for heaps of teams who have rusted Isaako onto their team. I feel this will result in enthralling forum viewing.

I love your thinking! I think same way about Haas, R1 50 minutes 50 and the sheer panic as everyone debates if that is what he is moving forward or a 1 off?

I would still have a value WFB in Brimson/Isaako and a Papy. Like I said I want an early jump and all guns finish pretty much around their average at end of season so an early season purple patch is what I looking for and with the huge ceiling of a Ponga/Turbo/Teddy might the best way to go over guessing which 2RF goes big, especially when the value guys can pretty easily jag solid 35-45

Yeah mate, I don't disagree. It's a bit of luck and guess work isn't it? Cook, McInnes, Haas, Fifita x2, Lolo, Bateman, DCE, Cleary, Moses can all score 100+, or close enough, on their day. Ted and Ponga probably can too, but I guess the difference is that WFB's generally have a lower floor. So whilst having a gun WFB might be a POD (in this forum at least) and your guy might gun it from the start, it can work against you also if your pick starts slowly and everyone else gets to pick up your guy at a discount.

For both of these players, even if and I stress if, they start 2RF and play 80, they don't represent good value. Chee-Kam is likely to start. Less likely for Capewell.

What makes you say that? They've used MCK off the bench to good effects. It would be interesting to see if Maguire continues with that.

Capewell was next in line when Graham was injured. If anything, the move could suggest a higher likelihood of starting. But again, Capewell is a lot more versatile than MCK

Can we call him Lucky instead of Lucy? He's in my team now, and it's the best I've felt so far.

I see this as a likely scenario. He's a weapon and I can see Broncos "easing" him into the season. And I mean easing by his standards, not by the rest of NRL standards. Only thing is, a break in play, ball to Haas, 4x TBs and Try is a legitimate scenario.

If you have at the start, just keep him til Origin, then bring him back after. Safe Captaincy and just focus on the rest of your team.

Slightly out of the box team. Most of the picks have been spoken about a lot but generally haven't seen them together. Feeling pretty keen on this one though.

    Friend
    Fifita* Knight
    Matterson Luciano Stimson
    Moses JMK
    Watkins** Suli
    Turbo Papenhuyzen 246k

    Levi Koro Brailey Magoulis

    Luai 246k 228k 228k

    22k ITB

*Upgrading to Haas means dropping Turbo to Isaako
**Risky - drops to cheapie if one pops up. But happy for 55-60 from this CTR pairing until legitimate options pop up

Really keen for these middy hookers. I really want a gun hooker (CS9 or McInnes) too but can't have everything.

This team really relies on Fifita being in form (knee), a decent cheapie WFB (Coates?) And some cheapies for NPR. Depth is also terrible. But willing to risk things early season.
