I can't help but think if you're going with Mann in your halves you might as well go with Luia (If you aren't worrying about the cover). Parden my enthusiasm on the subject but I truly believe Kurt Mann is garbo and won't last more than 4 weeks at 5/8.

His career average at 5/8 is 37 with 1 try from 11 games. Even if you are correct and he gets only 4 weeks at 5/8 with a conservative 35 points he will still make 80k with a break even of around 18-19. That's good enough for me while we wait to see who the keeper halves will be

I admit it can be hard for me to separate fantasy and actual ability sometimes. But there's one thing I can almost guarantee and that's Kurt Mann will be replaced sooner rather than later. Jump on and hope the best.

I just heard that Holmes may be eased back into NRL via the wing, you would think that would give Drinkwater the reins at 1. I guess it all depends for how long if true.

That's a pretty strong side. Some of the usual caveats. I am not sure that Stimson starts, although I would he happy to be proven wrong. Also I think you might be leaving yourself vulnerable to injuries in key positions. Who are you going to have as the 228k options to over 2RF, CTR, especially as you have gone a little light on there.

Also I don't think you have enough HOK!

At the moment I only have 5 of the top 15 most popular players.

Is it crazy to go without both Haas and Papenhuyzen if I think they are independently not good picks?

I can't see any logic of skipping pap. Him, ponga and Brailey are the only certainties in my team this year.

Haas I can see a case for based on his price.

What do you think Papenhuyzen will average this year?

If you think he'll average around 45 (one of the top WFBs in the comp) then he is of borderline value

Only a handful of WFBs can maintain an average of 50 for a whole season. Do you think Papenhuyzen is at that level?

Trouble is, Mann is so shit in the halves that Crossland could well be there R1 or R2. He is really just a stop gap solution until he is fit, you would imagine. I can't imagine it being much of a competition.

Well if you think that Papenhuyzen is the 2nd best fullback of the last 5 years, 2nd only to Tedesco, then of course he is an autopick, at almost any price.

The real issue is that if you don't pair Mann with Luai as your sub gun HLF options that you have to step up to someone like Brimson, Flanagan or Croft and put a whole lot more $ on the table. There are no guarantees with those three either which makes Mann more appealing...risking less $. I might give Keary another look Very Happy
