Hahahaha really mate? I still have Haas and probably still gonna keep him and wait and see the trials. Think Haas, Fifita, Isaako and Croft were really disappointing in their games.

Also have really liked the look of Cartwright this weekend. That chip and chase was insane

Hess, Carty and Drinkwater were on my short list, but have moved up that list somewhat. Lowe out. I'm less confident in Brimson but that could change, he just hasn't quite had the involvement.

Hard to knock any of that other than, I'm not convinced you'll get a playable cheapie prop, but you never know.

Yeah am being hopeful on that, still trials and practices to come the next month leading into round 1, someone will get injured leading to increased minutes for a base priced prop.

I've got quite similar team structure ATM except slightly more imbalanced as I fit in Taumalolo also, but cheaper bench

If Shane Wright gets a spot over Hess starting that’ll do me.

To others thinking of Cartwright I just can’t go there.

Isaako has disappointed me so far, I’ve seen more from Brimson.

I wonder how bad the McGuire injury is?

I have both Hess and Williams right now.

But will they start with Asiata in the middle?

If Molo is starting round 1 he can get in my team.

Seems like there's not as many leagues being posted to join this year??
I've missed 3 of the 4 I've seen so I'll do a first for me and start a league.
I'll call it "Fantasy Fanatics reserve team" and join up here MAHSPRLE

I’m not a fan of the nine’s, it seems a bit of a joke to some teams. Can anyone tell me how the Tigers beat Souths, lost to the Titans by a point and Souths go through when Souths didn’t play the best team and the Tigers didn’t play the worst team in the pool? It doesn’t seem very fair.

    Day 2 - 9s Eyetest

    NEWPEN

    J Saifiti groin tweak, S. Crichton sin-bin

Mason Lino key man for Knights. Didn’t expect to see him everywhere, so Mann potentially not a long-term option. Knights rookie Tex Hoy the best of the outside backs. Quiet game in terms of fantasy relevance with some key players (eg Kikau) rested and little involvement from those under watch.

    Fantasy relevant ranking:
    1. Guerra
    2. Cleary
    3. To’a

    SYDWAR

Hayze Perham shoulder (burner), Milne headclash

Hard to talk fantasy with roosters First-17 at the World Cup challenge. Hutchison and Lam showing they have depth at half though. If Sam Lisone is any indication of the Warriors pre-season fitness, they will be wooden spoon. He looked the size of 3 houses. Milne looked slow. Worry as one of the better cheap centre options on paper. Was hoping Keighran might show something, but he was poor.

    Fantasy relevant ranking:
    1. N/A

    CROCBY

SJ as always in this format playing some good schoolyard footy. Josh Morris didn’t have to work hard at all for 2 of his 3 tries. Katoa and Ronaldo both looking sharp outside back options. Unfortunately didn’t get much of a look at Magoulias and Stimson relatively quiet but OK. Rudolf might be decent bench forward. Cogger looked better than Wakeham from the dogs halves.

    Fantasy relevant ranking:
    1. Johnson
    2. J. Morris
    3. S Katoa

    PARSTI

    Dufty cheek fracture (hospital)

If Moses was on your hit list, he’s done nothing to dent confidence. As handy as he was in attack, it was his defence surprisingly the highlight including a try saver on the much bigger Ravalava. Fergo might be a nice threat this year with the new aerial rule and soft opening fixtures. Cody Ramsey liveliest back from the dragons.

    Fantasy relevant ranking:
    1. Moses
    2. McInnes
    3. Ferguson

    SOUCAN

Cook was good, but considering they belted the young Raiders, he wasn’t as dominant as you might expect and there was another Cook (Josh?) the star for the Bunnies. Burns looked good on his feet, as elusive as ever.

Smith-Shields might emerge as a nice rookie priced option with Raiders losing a couple of outside backs. He looked decent. Goodwin could be a bargain back option. Not much to cheer about from the forwards. Su’a and Murray both OK.

    Fantasy relevant ranking:
    1. Burns
    2. Cook
    3. Goodwin

    GLDWST

One of the more relevant fantasy clashes.

Brimson met with mixed opinion pre-season but looked excellent in attack and defence, and ready to go this season. Billy Walters might be the Harry Grant replacement we all needed. Expect him to be Hlf/HOK DPP in no time. Ash Taylor and Tyrone Peachey both impressed as the Titans looked much better than expected. Garner looks bigger and stronger this year and Luciano Leilua wouldn’t have put off many suitors. From the outside backs it was Philip Sami who was best. Rapid. Wasn’t overly impressed with Mikaele and would have liked to see more from Tommy Talau. Jonus Pearson probably the better of the bargain basement. From the forwards Whitbread prob top rater. Chee-Kam not too involved but looked big and quick.

    Fantasy relevant ranking:
    1. Brimson
    2. Ash Taylor
    3. Grant
