Re: SuperCoach 2020
Should we have an overall group given we have two leagues?

Re: SuperCoach 2020
Good Afternoon fellow Coaches,
For any of us nerdy types that like to analyse the data I have finally collated the SC relevant raw stats into an excel spreadsheet that covers 2017 through to 2019. It also has the 2020 pricing added. I’ve priced it at a cup of coffee because it took so long to throw together.
A couple of interesting bits of data that can be pulled from it include:
• A handful of players that are not priced on their 2019 average. You can extract a list of players that are overpriced and under-priced by dollar per avg point (this year’s magic number is 9293). So someone like Jake Fiend is valued at $414,900 / 55.8 = 7435. So he would gain $103K if he continues to average 55.8 points. SShhh.
• You can also query the data to find players that played well under their normal average minutes. This helps identify those players whose average score and pricing are greatly impacted by injury. The player most hit by this is Jake Friend (again) who played 80, 33, 70, 58, 8 minutes in his 5 games. At least two games of his 5 are injury impacted (I know because I owned him). Braidon Burns and of course, Josh Dugan had a couple of well short of 80 minutes so they could expect a 10% price increase based on playing the full 80 (if they don’t get injured).
• The player positions have also been added to the data via the jersey number each player played in. So you can query out the weak edges and sides defensively and in attack. For instance, the number 5 winger scores 1450pts on the bulldogs but the number 2 winger has scored 1164pts in 2019.
You can download the spreadsheets from nrl-supercoach-data on shopify
I plan to add the 2020 stats weekly and sell the 2020 copy for a $1 each week if it proves worthwhile to people.
Cheers,
Damien

Is anyone else having trouble selecting a team under budget? There are not many cheapies named to play. It is doing my head in!

I'm having heaps of trouble with CTW, I must have splurged too much in other places! What I can afford, looks like rubbish. Lots of work to do tomorrow

Missed the fun leagues, but decided to give this a lazy crack this year. Seems quite different, but I'll have a go and see how it pans out. 5/8 was a struggle...

If you want to start another league, I'm sure some of us will join: more leagues, more fun. Just post the code, I'll join
