I doubt Matt will play, he was really bad, but I can also use Best. I just can't cover too many more! I'll trade tomorrow, I need to get rid of X Coates, and I have Hopo and Guyer just taking up space. I'll run out of trades at this rate.

My trades have been duds lately, so prepared for whatever I do to backfire. Week late on Teddy after reversing, Matto 1 good week, Potatohuyzen to Ponga, Doui to Mansour, Koro to Cam last week..

Finally caught a good score from EKatoa after starting with him though. Got all his bad ones and missed his big ones until last week

Rookie question time.

So I have Smith/Grant. I was of the understanding that if I keep it that way I get a 0 in that 17th position. However, I was listening to a couple of podcasts and without saying it directly, they hinted that you might not get a 0, but you just get the score of your lowest scoring AE? Even though I have no hooker playing. Is this correct?

If I don't trade him out, HTF would be my lowest scoring AE and in a week where some might have to play him anyway, I'd rather hold Grant/Smith and take his score rather than waste a trade on my hookers.

Tried to look up some rules/guidelines, but couldn't see it obviously. Anyone got the lowdown?

You'll definitely get your lowest scoring NPR as an emergency, which would likely be Hamiso given the way he's going lately.

Only get 1 emergency though, will cop a 0 if anyone else is a late out and you don't have a sub.

"Your team is awarded ONE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY, in the event that any one (or more) of your Starting 17 players don't play in any given round and receive a score of 0 points. The automatic emergency will be the lowest scoring player who receives a score greater than 0 from your Substitutes list, and is not picked as one of your four reserves. The Automatic Emergency score will be automatically added to the total points scored by your team."

I don't think many will be playing Hamiso in SC compared to NRLF though. Papenhuyzen out, Teddy's price and lack of trades is forcing Hamiso into WFB for NRLF, while we have plenty of trades and CTWs in SC.

Cool, thanks for the info. That's great and certainly changes my mindset around trades this week. I really don't want to be wasting trades on keeper hookers, even if trades in this thing are close to unlimited.

And yeah, I'll keep an eye on late mail to try and avoid being caught out.

Any thoughts on Fifita? I'll probably trade Best and Geyer, and hang on to CS, Matto and Papy. Worried that if I give CS away, I'll never afford him back. Cook's BE is huge.

I've reversed trades a couple of times and that's not turned out well in the past.

Originally went Cam and Best to Bateman and Nofo, but switched to Mann instead. Now dumped Hamiso for Mann instead of Best.

I almost went for Harris over Bateman, but just a personal rule for myself to avoid him from being burned in the past. Irrational fear that he'll get injured as soon as I'm sucked in again.

DFifita was on my must-trade-back-in list the moment I got rid of him, primarily because he seems underpriced, but as the weeks went by and cash is more plentiful, plus his signing with Titans and returning from injury, he's fallen way down my target list.

Tevaga's one I'm kinda high on and have a bit of FOMO for. Looks set for about 50 mins though, but averaging 69 from those 3 games at 50 mins.

I'm a bit hesitant to jump straight on Fifita. Shame if his price rises a lot but I believe his BE is up around 56? So he shouldn't sky-rocket in price unless something mad happens.

I'd rather wait at least one week to see what we're dealing with before taking the plunge. Personally.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, but my 2RF this week are Lolo, Tino, J Safiti, Matto, Hopoate and a nuffie that I can switch with Yeo, but not very impressive, so I need to spend and get a successful player there. I could get Koro back, and move McInnes back to 2RF, lol, too many options!

Yeah I'm a little bit worried that Mann loses some attacking stats with less room to move, but SC seems to have it's favourites on who gets the assists in plays and they don't mind paying them to HKs and Mann in general imo.

Other worry is that he finally succumbs to an actual injury from higher defensive workrate at HK.

In the end it just felt dirty picking a WG (Nofo) over a HK/58. Already broke my WG rule by getting Mansour and have Lomax too as a CTR, so choosing another WG over a HK seemed crazy to me.. despite the averages.

Pretty sure I'll regret reversing Nofo, but not sure enough to re-reverse He's first on my list if a CTW goes down though.

Yeah my problem with wingers is those games where they're stuck out there doing nothing because the attack is stifled. At least Nofo and Mansour go looking for the ball often though. Sivo just put up a single digit score and a 30 odd with a try recently

I justified my Mansour trade because of Cleary and Panthers form. Tigers inconsistent as usual, losing to Titans and Warriors recently nixed any hope I had and now Grant injured.

I'm also not deathriding Nofo at all compared to Mann recently, since Nofo's from my team and I recommended him recently

Grant to Bateman and Hamiso to Mann my trades in the end. Probably would trade Hamiso next week anyway, but the BE scares me, albeit vs. Titans, so might go close.

EKatoa and GWill into my 17. Only Talau and Davey outside

McInnes DPP saving me this week. Worried about having Doueihi, feels like he's about to break (playing busted) ATM.

Will stick with planned trades.

Just checked the SC page to see what I was dealing with. I must say, I was kind of relieved to see Teddy somehow managed to score 47 in this, so far. I know the updates are prone to massive swings in this format, but for now I can deal with that. It's dreadful in SC terms, but not as bad as the 20 I was dreading.

Interestingly, Lomax alone has scored 1 point shy of Teddy's double captain score so far.

Good news re Teddy is that most people will have him, so 47 doesn't matter. He's had a couple of quiet games now, maybe team changes have made a difference?
I'm still trying to decide on my trades, thinking Matterson out and Harris in, could be Bateman but something is making me hesitate, and he costs more
