    Hi

Mostly lurk. Just sharing my team so I don't feel like I'm taking all the info and not providing any.

    Cook (c)
    Knight Tetevano
    Taumalolo JWilliams Hess
    Moses Drinkwater
    Burns Lomax
    Papaenhuyzen Brimson Doueihi
    Koro Su'A Brailey Luai
    Musgrove Magoulias Rookiex2

Might downgrade Burns if I want to send cash elsewhere but happy with this as a draft into TLT.

Mann is  never supposed to be a hit. IMO he avgs around 35 and allows you to invest elsewhere considering there is not much cheap HLF choices out there other than Luai or JMK.

Lino is definitely a threat and one to keep eye out for in the trails and TLT.

JMK isn’t that cheap at $544k. Just $200k less than a serious gun in that position.

Drinkwater and Brimson both well under that price point.

What’s everyone picks for the top scoring halves this year? I think DCE, Pearce and A.Reynolds will be top 3

    @MTB

Just curious, in the who's hot and who's not section, what does "% CHANGE (SINCE LOCKOUT)" mean in the context of the preseason? Is it like in the last week or something? Cheers.

I think Cleary, DCE, and Moses for top 3 halves. Probably in that order for averages, but Moses most scored points overall due to (hopefully) no origin.

Thanks for your feed back.   Wade Graham isn't quite the Pod I thought he would be as he is up to 6% ownership. He was injury affected last year, and from what I recall he came back well with a few high scores after his return.  With a full preseason behind him and the pack losing some experience,  I just feel good he will return to gun status.

I like going for different picks rather than what everyone else goes for. I am too surprised at his ownership. I definitely like it I think a lot more ownership of the forwards will come to him. He’s captain now isn’t he?

Rather than post a draft team which looks similar to everyone else's  I though I might share a few thoughts to date based on position

Hooker : Had CM9 in there with Api, BBrailey and Mann on the bench.
Replaced CM9 with Friend and it looks a lot more rosy financially. I also think he will make money if he stays fit but am worried about bridging the $ gap to the top tier with Verills lurking
I have just tried a draft with CS9 and have nearly convinced myself.
I am unconvinced by Mann but, putting aside personal bias, there is value there if he gets a full time gig.

FRF :  Have had Haas to date with one of the usual suspects (knight, molo, merrin etc) but can't shake the feeling that, while he will finish the #1 prop, he will drop around $100k in the first few weeks.
It could be risky to leave him out and you will need a solid strategy to get him in as soon as he starts hitting his BE.
If Carrigan gets a crack at lock I am willing to take a punt as he was great for me as an 18th man at the back end of last season

2RF : Love the look of Tolo but past experience has shown he can throw in a 30 every now and then at the start of the season (or get injured) so if you pick him don't forget you are in for the long haul, he also plays 12.
The other options have been discussed at length but..... I am very wary of Souths forwards for the first couple of weeks because who knows WTF Bennett is thinking and Cowboys forwards because they never seem to be relevant at the end of the day (Tolo excepted).
Would love Stimson to get a starting gig and I think/hope TLT will throw up some food for thought at the knights and sharks.

Halves : Cleary/Moses one mid ranger (see fullbacks) and Luai (again am unconvinced by Mann). Croft will make money if the broncos can start winning but who knows

Centres : Would love Capewell /Widow to get a starting consistent 2RF gig but again history has shown many many false dawns.
I like Burns, if he can stay together, and Lomax purely because of the lack of DPPs kicking around.
Any rookie centres will be rubbish (unless playing in another position) but we will all have one

WFB : 3 of Papy / Drinkwater / Douehi / Brimson. Will need to be prepared to upgrade these dudes to the top tier as soon as they start to stall (hopefully Papy excepted but 2nd year syndrome is probably more of a thing for backs)
Would love to have TTurbo but am very concerned about the lack of forward strike power Manly will have at the start of the season and the fact he is made of glass.
First year I won't start with Teddy for a while.

Bench : The hookers mentioned above, Luai and any low to midrange forwards who pick up a start on TLT
I am looking for the mythical base price WFB/CTR DPP who starts as back coverage and remember kids don't load your bench with backs.

I also anticipate picking Host not Lawrie, wasting lots of trades on rookie halfbacks and wingers and getting lucky by accidentally picking a forward who starts to gun halfway through the season (Rhys Martin, D. Fifita, AFB).

Good on you, one and all

I cant believe I forgot all about Doueihi this season. I am not sure he is worth it starting at CTR, as in his 3 starts he only scored over his current price once which included a try. While the other scores were 28 and 22 points.

Tetevano still only averaged 40 minutes when starting prop last year, and Cleary as a coach has never had high scoring Fantasy props as far as I can recall. (Tamou had 3 scores of 70, 78 and 92 last year and still averaged less than 50.) And as their main prop only averaged 51 minutes. So I dont see what value there is in Tetevano.

The rest is good and quite balanced considering you have luxury picks like Cook, and Burns.

Matt Lodge suspected ACL, awaiting confirmation from scans

He left training early yesterday which was why he wasnt named in the trial team

I would think that means TPJ will definitely play middle now. Fifita locked in for right edge.

No question Haas plays huge mins either

Carrigan will instantly spring to mind for a lot of people. I really hope Lodge hasn’t hurt himself.

If you strongly believe this, you have to start ARey and Pearce R1. Or at least one of them.

I think for PPG it’ll be DCE, Cleary, Hunt/SJ

How many of you guys have Best in your team? Thumbs up if you do, Down if you don’t.

I think he’ll do ok but I don’t really rate him that highly. I’m kinda of the mindset that he’s a low risk, potential decent reward pick. His BE is only 22 and he should be improved with him having first grade experience now and whatnot. If he does kill it I’ll be behind the 8 ball a little to a lot of the competition (28% ownership). If he is mediocre it shouldn’t be difficult to move him on

I can just see him getting gifted at least 1 try (if not more) against Warriors to just kickstart price rises

It'll depend on whether a rookie CTR shows up as to whether I go gun CTR/rookie vs 2 of Lomax/Best/Watkins
