Yeah starting fullback priced at 23 you would be mad to not jump on haha, going off last years stats alone he could easily get a base of 20ish and he would only improve as he played more often (also you'd expect some more attacking stats in an improved Panthers outfit in 2020) Consider me on the bandwagon and ready to have my heart broken on TLT

Do you think he'd have enough time to make around 150k (value of a trade). Maximum of 8 weeks is up to R6 which is in an awkward range if he automatically loses his spot to Edwards upon return

would definitely be a risk I didn't really consider, you would definitely be banking on Aekins killing it at fullback and retaining a spot or Edwards being eased back in on the wing (unlikely given he's only had 3 appearances there in his career tho). I dunno though I've been burnt playing the conservative game before on cashies like this (I'll never forget the time I didn't trade in Ponga in 2017) so I'm probably more inclined to take the risk hahaha

    (medical)retirement home.

Apparently he pretty much can't even run (which is strange as it hasn't been mentioned yet in the off season) .

I feel like with all the changes with injuries, my team is shaping up nicely.

Starting 13 is strong at a slight cost to the 14-17 slots. End up with really strong forward pack, halves, centers and WFBs that I am happy with. Had to drop Brimson and Garner to be able to get to this team.

People thinking about Aekins should check out the Panthers' first five fixtures.

Great team bro but J. Papalii is usually a slow starter so maybe wait & see approach. I'm not sure Milne will start.

In a perfect world he gets dropped when Edwards returns so you don't have to rush him out

Yep, have thought about slotting in one of the GC centres (Watkins or Lele?), and going with Wallace instead of Papa

You are relying on 7 base price players being named round 1. Not just that you want 3 of them in your 17 including Grant/Luai
Team will not be deep enough to generate that early cash which means a strong start before fading out

    Paul Crawley earlier this week

    "
In the forwards the mail is Russell Packer is the fittest he has been for some time"

I guess if you have been 100% crocked, and you improve to 80% crocked, you can be the fittest you've been for a while

With the number of injuries and more to come, I will be surprised if there arent 7 base priced players worth having named in starting 17s for round 1. That would be a typical start to a season.

Harry Grant: "I’m hoping for [a release]. As selfless as it would be for the club, long-term it would benefit the club.

I’m open to it, the Tigers are open to it but whether the Storm is, I’d have to sit down and have a chat with [coach] Craig Bellamy and [CEO] Dave [Donaghy]"

I’m still catching up from today.

I said last night just wait for this weeks trials to end for more injuries that would come out of them and we haven’t even gone 24 hrs since I’ve said that and it’s just injury carnage BeerBeerBangBang

Oh well at least no one will have to even consider starting with Deadwards again as he’s got a serious ankle injury and will be out for around 2 months.

Does this mean Aekins to fullback for Penrith? (I’m probs missing a blatantly obvious player ahead of Adkins at this point).

Am I the only one struggling with NPR’s? My starting 13 is solid and pretty happy about bench. But gee, it’s a barren wasteland in the NPR’s right now
