The average player will struggle on this, good luck as we always get it mostly wrong each year haha

I just think it’s hard to predict a bench role to start the season.

I'm quite happy with this mob at the moment:
Friend
Haas Carrigan
Fifita Lucy Williams
Moses Taylor
Capewell Lomax
Papy Drinkwater Aekins
Koro Levi Luai Brailey/Stimson (if he starts)
Magoulius Keppie Saab Curran

Right with you on this one Booze. I've posted the round 1 bench forwards from 2019 a few times and most of the highly selected ones were terrible as cows

Pretty similar to mine atm but I think Capewell will be 14 or worse CTR so for the time being I'm gambling on Aubo

Keep in mind after a month Tevaga should be starting lock playing big minutes
Yeah I know, just meant for the interim because Pap isn't big enough to be a prop. Well he's be a small one if so.
Tevaga probably won't be playing massive minutes from the start because he's missed so much pre-season training. His fitness will have to be built up

Yeah I was trying to fit Aubs in myself but would have to make sacrifices elsewhere which I wasn't happy with. Capewell may well become a cheapie if someone pops up.Loomer wrote:

I had Friend but took him out to beef up elsewhere but may look at getting him back. People keep saying Verrills will steal minutes but doesn't Trent like playing 80 min hookers??

Just looking at their first 1-2 months of footy they have a pretty tough run to start the year.
I don't think they will have the best starts to the season personally. If Jurbo misses the first few weeks it will hurt combinations, plus the loss of Api and Fainu (if he's still stood down) hurts the combinations even more. I just don't rate Levi.

We're all just making assumptions at the moment based on what has happened in the past.
WCC will be interesting but Robinson has form for doing things at the WCC which he doesnt do in the regular season.

The storm have to have 29 players registered at the beginning of the season.
If the release is a go, we'll probably get a telegraph article saying "its done", but I doubt we get official confirmation from the clubs until after the weekend is done and the paperwork is signed.. that is gonna happen on the Monday I would think? Tigers play Sunday, so Grant wouldn't be fronting up to training until Tuesday.
That would all be irrelevant if the Storm decide on a player to add to their 29 (to replace Grant) before round 1 rolls around, Hooper is really just posing "what ifs". I'd say they'd be after someone who can play hooker though.
