For Sharks I think Williams is most likely beneficiary, Rudolph might go OK, but they still have Fifita, Woods and Hamlin-Uele ahead of him in the prop order

I feel like Rudolf is a bit like Kerr - does he even make the 17?

If he hadn’t had that massive performance for the Jets on GF day, would anyone be talking about him?

I am thinking the forwards are probably

    Fifita Woods Williams starting middle.
Bench of Magoulis, Uele, Bukuya, and one other, probably Rudolf, or maybe Sorensen? Royce Hunt has come across from Canberra as well..

If that is the case he's likely to be pretty low minutes without injuries.

    Main options

Burns is in my team now and is around top 40% for player stickiness in my team. Most gun centres (not including duals) kinda float between 500-600k so you're expecting him to be a top centre this year

Watkins - affordable and seems a safer bet than a base rookie. Most people that watch Super League rate him. Currently in my team

Suli - Decent end to the year last year. Affordable. Does have some mud scores mixed in. But we've seen what Des can do and I expect Manly to go even better this year

    Aubs - If he's at 2RF he's an Auto-Pick

    Capewell - Same as above

Lomax - Everyone has him. Cheap. Should be FB all season

    Outside options

Bird - at FB he should get his hands on the ball a lot when attacking and last year he came into his own fantasy wise. It was also good seeing him move to lock for junk points lol but coming back from ACL, likely avoiding

Marsters - slightly undervalued if he gets back to form and picks up kicking duties. Also in a very strong Cowboys outfit which I expect to see in the top 6 this year

MCK - chance to snag a 2RF spot. Could be value if so

I know there's a lot of Aubbs love on this forum, but he has bitten me too many times.

Bunnies fans, what is the hype and potential of Koloamatangi? Is he likely to get decent enough minutes to have as a NPR or are there better options?

Also, is J Su'a likely to pick up more consistent minutes with the player loss at the bunnies?

    Thanks for your insight

Koloamatangi has been sitting in reserve grade for a couple of years now biding his time as we’ve always had a set and forget forward pack with the burgii’s and Sutton. However, he has always been highly rated and isn’t afraid to make tackles or take hit-ups. He averaged 49 points over 13 games in Canterbury Cup switching between lock and second row. His minutes were all over the place but he generally averaged around 60 minutes playing lock and 80 playing second row. He would need big minutes to become relevant, I would look at a different NPR to start the season (unless he starts) and pick him up if injuries occur.

Jayden Su’a is likely to be our starting second rower and will probably play 60+ minutes each week. I can’t guarantee 80 as Wayne’s substitutions are not predictable and nobody knows what’s going on with Cameron Murray.

Out of all the forwards at Souths I think Liam Knight has the most potential to be a fantasy gun. He’s highly rated at the club, just been resigned and will be looking to fill the hole that Sam Burgess has left in the pack.

    Hope this helps!

Now I'm thinking if Carrigan gets a starting role, I wonder what the risk would be foregoing Haas and using the money elsewhere. Somewhat tempting.

    Literally million dollar question.

Lodge update merely made him more nailed on for me. I reverted my pre Trials side to being a Haas captained one

I’m not so sure Su’a will see 60mins plus even if he’s starting for Souths as Lowe is set to be ready for round 1.

With the 8 interchanges 2nd rowers are less likely to get taken off just for the hell of it. If he's gassed to the point of letting in multiple tries or injured i don't see why any second rower starting this year would only play a half or so

The second front row forward position is still annoying me the most. I think I want Carrigan for my interchange though.

Well Murray is gonna spend more time on the edge is the talk and the longer mins Su’a plays the worse his defence gets. I need to have a good look at him in the CS. I do think paying a bit extra for Williams and Luciano is looking like a safer option value wise.

Good shout with Marsters. I assumed he was high 600s so i hadnt even looked at him. In a better team now i can see him getting a lot more chances. Especially if he gets the gk duties. Might be a set and forget

Souths have an 80-minute hooker and a four forward bench. Sutton & Burgess were their second rows last year and neither of them played 80.

They were also about 100 years old plus Burgess had to play forward at times as well because Souths had no depth there.

LOL not that i brought up 80mins but whatever. Lowe played a few games like 4 or 5 at 80mins in the back end and Sammy B definitely played some 80 min games. I don't why every thinks thats going to change all of a sudden.

My point was is that in a team (any team not just the rabbits) Starting rowers are unlikely to be brought off for the hell of it. I can't see Su'a starting then only playing a 40mins or something. Second rowers will get substantial time unless injury

That is the $999,000 question. I do not see him dropping much, if he does. Also, he is so far ahead of the next FRF and a safe captaincy option I have had him locked in myself. I tend to play the strategy of fear, and it doesn't get any scarier for me then not owning the big man.
