Flegler, Kamikamica, Horsburgh all made $100k or more by 10 weeks.

Not the most ideal result, but if they were outside your 17, and if their cheap price allowed you to get a stronger player to score for you then it was probably OK

As 20th or 21st man in your squad, I agree you can handle a slow burn. Some have been talking up similar players for scoring spots and having 6/8 bench spots filled with similar players

Balancing NPR pricing and scores with the options available, and trying to avoid over-spending, as this impacts the cash available for the scoring 17 players is always really difficult to do.

The year before Kikau was one of them, named to start at TLT but relegated to the bench just before kickoff.

It's pretty obvious most of the above bench forwards were going to get junk minutes.

Lawrie, Knight (if wasn't suspended for weeks 3-4), Flegler (pumped out a 54 in round 2), Cartwright (52 in week 3 -went alright).

Mikeale, Ravalawa, Garrick were all worse than above for first 5 rounds and most teams had 1 or 2 of them. Sivo was an outlier last year.

Cheap rookie backs rarely average over 25 but lots of forwards score better than that even if on the bench.

Only Leleisiuao interests me. Whereas Magoulias, Rudolph, Musgrove, Curran etc are all on the watchlist.

Yup. They're pulling a Miami Dolphins which fucks me off as a season pass holder.

Warriors have the worst pack in the comp. Josh Curran is built more like a lock than a prop. He'll probably get into the 17 now with Bunty out and Lisone still on the outer.

Also, Egan won't be much of a pick behind a weak pack even if he gets the minutes. He might have some value if he can tackle constantly.

I hope the new owners (Autex) sack Kearney, promote Brown, and release majority of the dead weight.

Hah - I use Autex product all the time - never realised they were a NZ company.

It really is a disaster of a club right now, an always kicking shit up hill in terms of trying to recruit. Spend overs on basically everyone, but at least in the past they have got quality players. Now they pay overs for mid to lower tier guys.

And now they are going with a complete strategy change. I guess you have to commend Kearney on that? But I cant help but feel all it really is, is confirmation that what he has been trying to implement over the last 3 years has been a complete failure.

At least you support them now bro. I used to own several f the 1995 original framed jerseys (waiting for the day when they would final win the NRL). I flogged them off ages ago and used the profits to back against the Warriors on the TAB. Im now a millionaire!! Wink

lol! That's a bigger mistake than being a fan haha really loved the part of the move Hunt for the Wilderpeople when the dad bags the Warriors lol

Tbh though, I don't see how SK is gonna be the coach that takes them to a GF. His record is terrible. He was lucky in 2018 and he had Bennett supporting him at the World Cup.

I really like it. You will probably only really be worried about Friend, Cleary, Fifita for origin duties. Also hopefully a cheap CTR comes around because Watkins is batshit, but other than that she looks pretty solid. Wanna hope those forwards get through some work Smile

I really want to try and start with Burns. I just think he is a fantasy magnet. Always finding TB's, offloads and Rabbitohs actually get him the ball early enough to make a run. I am hoping a cheap centre pops up somewhere because I don't really like anything else in the market.

Yeah bro lol based in Avondale, Auckland. The owners are big league supporters. I'm hoping their business acumen translates to success for the Warriors (most likely 2021 lol)

    Morning all,

Bunnies fans, what is the hype and potential of Koloamatangi? Is he likely to get decent enough minutes to have as a NPR or are there better options?

Also, is J Su'a likely to pick up more consistent minutes with the player loss at the bunnies?

    Thanks for your insight

Only just logged in, the 'how much are you spending on each player' game is an interesting way to see the $ spread; cows & guns or dirty middies.
Thought I'd run the rule over my Bludgers
    800+ - 2
    600 - 700 - 2
    500 - 600 - 3
    400 - 500 - 4
    300 - 400 - 4
    200 - 300 - 6
Yep, as I feared, too much mid-strength in there.
I need a couple of friendly TLT cheapies to downgrade a middie and get another gun.

The problem with centre is that there really isn't anyone I'd want priced between Watkins and Burns/Aubbs, and I can only afford to go up to 420k. Suli I guess could be an option. I'm actually hoping that Stephen Crichton gets a start and I'll probably just go with him.

    Not many decent options.

    Main options

Burns is in my team now and is around top 40% for player stickiness in my team. Most gun centres (not including duals) kinda float between 500-600k so you're expecting him to be a top centre this year

Watkins - affordable and seems a safer bet than a base rookie. Most people that watch Super League rate him. Currently in my team

Suli - Decent end to the year last year. Affordable. Does have some mud scores mixed in. But we've seen what Des can do and I expect Manly to go even better this year

    Aubs - If he's at 2RF he's an Auto-Pick

    Capewell - Same as above

Lomax - Everyone has him. Cheap. Should be FB all season

    Outside options

Bird - at FB he should get his hands on the ball a lot when attacking and last year he came into his own fantasy wise. It was also good seeing him move to lock for junk points lol but coming back from ACL, likely avoiding

Marsters - slightly undervalued if he gets back to form and picks up kicking duties. Also in a very strong Cowboys outfit which I expect to see in the top 6 this year

MCK - chance to snag a 2RF spot. Could be value if so
