I think it makes it more interesting to be honest, because people will go away from stacking 4-5 midpricers in their team (only to trade 2-3 out within 3 weeks) to having to choose the best 2-3.

Guerra averaged 37 mins mostly interchange last season. No reason to think they won't stick with Fitz and Barnett with Glasby/Watson lock

CHN and Jackson averaged 72 mins edges and Elliott 50 mins lock last season. Does Stimson walk into permanent edge role?

I’ve got the relatively standard Haas/Lolo/Fifita/Friend, one of Moses/Cleary, Paps, Aubs. Have currently lost my nerve on not owning Haas.

Was tinkering with different teams and Haas/HLF out for 3 potential keepers (2 could possibly blowup) as well as upgrading some cows to slightly higher scoring cows.

I already have my wife playing for my auto fill team, I think I want one of my kids playing as this POD team.

Well, there are valid reasons to think Guerra will start right edge and Barnett will start lock.

I see Barnett at lock, Fitz and Guerra edge. SMat had one edge sewn up, Fitz the other-
but post injury it’s all up in the air.

Why would the bulldogs buy Stimson if just for bench depth? And more importantly, why would he leave the Storm for the same role at the bulldogs?

So who misses out at Bulldogs out of CHN Jackson Elliott?

Mind you, this is all guesswork. I am no more in the know than you

JMK being marked with an injury icon in fantasy is the deciding factor in changing my team to something more balanced and rather cookie cutter. If fit for R1 I might still select him but it depends on the rookies available on TLT

Bit disappointed as he's been in basically every draft I've made but the latest update on the casualty ward isn't very promising. It says he is still training away from main group with non-contact skills after his shoulder reconstruction putting him in doubt for R1

I haven't seen or heard much of Adam O'Brien but he speaks really well here and is pretty open about how he felt about the trial.

Next trial will be pretty close to round 1. He had no hesitation saying Mann will be 6 next week.

I'm a pragmatist and it's Pay so I'm not setting any expectations until TLT

    Card subject to change?

But nah, Elliot is not 100% fit ATM and pretty sure Jackson or CHN plays lock and he gets benched.

The Bulldogs do love recruiting an average backrower though. Not sure buying Stimson and Britt was plugging the biggest holes in their team.

The only one I'm certain will get a spot somewhere at the Dogs is Jackson. Whether its lock or an edge, he'll definitely be there.

I wouldn't bank on anyone else getting a spot until the teams run out in round 1.

Fortunately for us, we get unlimited trades until the season starts, so we don't have to make a commitment now. But hypothetically, if you had to lock your round 1 team in today - how many would be comfortable having Stimson in it? I certainly wouldn't.

On Stimson, once Meaney is fit and in the team, I suspect he'll kick goals as first choice.

Mann will be good I think (IRL if not fantasy).

O’Brien coached him in Toyota Cup, and was assistant the next year when Mann made his FG debut. He knows what he’s capable of. He’s always looked best as a centre, and one that could play as a run first 5/8. Just my idiot team and the Knights have wasted 4 years playing him anywhere else.

    Was just looking up Curran.

Josh Curran averaged 35 in reserve grade last year, varying between 2nd row, lock and the bench

Don't confuse him with Bears lock Joshua Curran, who also averaged 35 last year

I think it's the same person because Curran came from Roosters mid-season and their feeder team would be the Bears wouldn't it

Yes, just realised that. Stats are the same

But for some reason at the Roosters he was Joshua Curran, and at the Warriors he was Josh Curran.

From what I've read I expect Stimson and Jackson to be second rowers. Elliot/CHN/Faitala Mariner all to play middle.

Dean Pay and Stimson go back to Origin under 20s I think and their relationship from that went a long way to getting Stimson to the Bulldogs. Feel like CHN will create even more in the middle of the field off the bench (less chance of missed tackles also).
