Guerra averaged 37 mins mostly interchange last season. No reason to think they won't stick with Fitz and Barnett with Glasby/Watson lock

CHN and Jackson averaged 72 mins edges and Elliott 50 mins lock last season. Does Stimson walk into permanent edge role?

I'm keen to hear other people's thoughts on Murray's expected minutes. I too was expecting he'd play 80 mins typically (and occasionally 65-70, depending on the game). I.e. the Sam Burgess role of old.

I haven't seen myself recently but he seemed to think guerra was lower in the pecking order and had been cruising a bit too much. Can't stress enough though that we hear stuff but don't sit in on selection meetings or get told directly what's happening aside from pressure to get someone back when they are a starter etc, mostly wait to see what's happening at training. This weekend we'll have close to our full strength side and be starting with as close to our round 1 team as possible so should give us a fair idea

I'm also mostly with the younger sides and cup. Should get to do a few games early in the season but which will be cool

Seeing any bolters coming through that we should be watching out for in first grade soon?

What's everyone's thoughts regarding starting a POD heavy side with a splash of cheapies?
Players like JFH, Munster,SJ, Smith, Hunt.

Jirah for second row. Recently resigned and highly rated and a chance of taking sione’s spot if he earns it this weekend

I really rate Simi Sasagi. Scored a mint try at the 9s and has a lot in his locker and if he was a year or 2 older/didn’t get slowed down by a fracture in his spine last year he’d be challenging Mann and Lino for sure.

Tex Hoy will do well during origin when ponga is out but not really worth picking up without injuries.

There aren’t too many youngsters in the 30 atm. Some of the fringe/cup young players disappointed at the weekend

Have high hopes for some of the SG boys

He would command a fair bit of coin already. Are the Storm or Roosters going to shell out big money for someone who's never played the game before? Doubtful.
If he did (and I doubt he will do in his prime) make the switch, it'd be with a club willing to take a punt like the Titans, or maybe the Bombers (please change the name) when they enter the comp as a publicity thing.

Much more likely he plays some union in Japan or France because that's where he'll see the most coin but I expect he'll be playing for the ABs through til the next world cup.

Much easier to switch to league than the other way to union. Far less highly technical rules to learn. Just dont catch the ball before it goes 10 meters and you will be fine son!

Maybe Murray and Su'A starting second row, Murray moves to the middle around 25 when Lowe comes on, Murray comes off at 50 when Knight/Tatola/Burgess come back for their second stint then Murray replaces Su'a at 60-65 to finish up on the edge?

Will be anyones guess how the minutes will be spread out in that pack. Maybe Murray players 80 (25 edge, 30 in the middle, 25 edge)

If Murray plays 80 including 30 mins middle, he becomes almost a must have.

I personally think he played a lot better at the Sharks than he did at the Knights. He is a walking TB and tries were base stats for him in Cronulla. He will be playing on an edge with SJ, Nikora, Ramien and Dugan I am pretty sure which is lethal as fuck! I am in love with Burns though! I would love to run both.

Ooh Ramien outside SJ sounds like fun!

Worth a shot with everyone's side looking the same. Would veer to the absolutely highest ceiling PODs, eg. SJ,, Kikau, Mitchell, Ted.

Depends who plays in the halves for one thing. I'm still thinking Drinkwater but Clifford put in a decent trial also and would kick goals if selected I'd say. Otherwise I'd say Marsters but I don't have any inside info.
Well if Drinkwater gets the goal kicking I’ll put him back in my side.

Been flirting with the idea of Yeo but not too sure, so went Kikau in the below team:

    Friend
    Haas Wallace
    CHN Kikau Tapine-OR-Leilua
    Cleary Drinkwater
    Lomax Shibi
    Papenhuyzen Brimson Aekins
    Carrigan Koro BBrailey Curran

Yeah, I don't think I'll be touching that. Priced at 55 and plays origin and doubts over minutes and role. If he's a must have, then I'll get him later. But too many risks at this stage unless Charity shield provides some insight.

Excited to see some different names out there. Not sure about JFH, but Smith would work as a reliable captain instead of Haas with nearly 100k less to splash elsewhere. People were running McInnes, surprised there hasn’t been much love for Smith. I think Hunt will probably score about the same per week as Moses and I’ve thought about him as an option - if Qld can rule out picking him for SOO1 right now I’d throw him in my team. SJ could go big too.

I won’t touch Kikau due to how many tackles he misses.

You’re already starting on minus 10-12 with Kikau.

    I couldn’t handle his inconsistency.
