Surely Glenn goes into 2RF and TPJ goes to prop come season start?

I would say so, very thin on the bench otherwise.

Glenn started right edge last week, so it adds up (Fifita been training on left in pre-season).

    Further to this

From Broncos article - "Young forward Ethan Bullemore played in Fifita’s place last week, and he will go back to the interchange for this hit-out."

Do you guys realise how massive all those images are you've been posting (and quoting)

Please try to refrain from spamming the thread with large images, especially before page 51

I've hidden the first copy of each image and deleted any quoted copies

StormTrooper96 wrote:On the whole Haas or no Haas thing. The aim of the game is not to get as many big price players in your squad as you can. The aim is to fill your team with what you believe to have the greatest scoring potential; along with the greatest money making ability.

This comes in the form of guns who are you point makers, mid rangers who you believe are under-priced and can score at gun level, mid rangers who are under-priced and can score around gun level who will then become guns themselves, and cash cows who will make you cash to turn into mid rangers who will then turn into guns and the cycle repeats. For all of this to fall into place you need a large amount of luck mixed with a small amount knowledge. To be honest no one knows if Haas will score 80 or 40 come round 1, no one knows if Lolo will match that or if he will fall short. If you are doing everything you can to get Haas and Lolo in your squad while compromising the integrity of your team and the money making potential elsewhere then you are already on the back foot, but then again your compromise may be downgrading burns for a base price cow and then Burns does his hammy R1 and your cow scores a double and nets 53 points and you ride that cash train. Again this all falls into the realm of luck. Personally I think Haas is like Cook in years gone by, he is the top scorer and you are absolutely shitting bricks not having him. I will be starting with Haas and he probably won’t leave my team all year. He may only have a 12 month package to go off but damn it was a good 12 months. 1 year older and 1 year the wiser/better/smarter. Lolo to me comes across as a DFifita type. I pick them both as something between 45-60 points a week, both with the ability to hit around 100 and Fifita is cheaper. In myself, I know I am more content with starting without Lolo than I am Haas, especially with the lack of value/picks in FRF this year.

TL;DR not sure if any of this makes sense and no clue where I am going with it but just putting my thoughts onto paper.

You make a good argument about luck playing a major role in this game. I think there are valid arguments both for against starting Haas. There are literally millions of permutations and obviously only 1 will be the 'best team possible'. I know we like to simplify things by doing player x + y vs player v + z etc but really every selection affects every other selection in your team. My point is, that you can go either way and not even in hindsight can we work out whether starting Haas or not was the best move given that there are so many permutations and the fact every selection affects everyother selection.

I know that pointing this out is not really productive as it doesnt help with team selection at all but there is no way to determine whether it is 'the right call' or not. What is guaranteed is that there will be a possible team with Haas in it that could win the comp as well as a team without Haas. What we endeavour to do is to make the most of what we are given and what we can actually figure out by reducing the game down to 'player x v y'. That is really the best we can do.

    Finally happy with my bench

    Levi, Koro, Brailey, Magoulias
    Keppie/Curran, Luai, Musgrove, Walters

That is the strongest bench ive had in the whole preseason. Carrigan, Lomax, Aekins and Drinkwater are the weakest players in my starting lineup which i think is pretty good too.

Breaking my team down into price range

    900k+ = 1
    800-899k = 0
    700-799k = 2
    600-699k = 2
    500-599k = 1
    400-499k = 5
    300-399k = 2
    200-299k = 0

    Bench:
    900k+ = 0
    800-899k = 0
    700-799k = 0
    600-699k = 0
    500-599k = 1
    400-499k = 2
    300-399k = 0
    200-299k = 5

EDIT: Based just on prices ill be upgrading 7 or 8 players in my starting lineup. Im hoping 1 or 2 of the 400-500k players become keepers but its probably unlikely. I'll likely be upgrading 1 FrF, 2 2rF, 2 HLF, 1 CTR & 1 WFB. Then luxury trades may be 1 HOK & 1 CTR

Fair enough. My attitude towards such shenanigans when I'm at home on my phone vs here at work on a 32in 4k monitor would likely be different.

I actually thought to myself "is 4000px wide going too far? nah - looks fine here"
