I think the biggest issue for the Tigers is they have 3 choices who aren't really starting 9 options (at the moment).. Mbye (not a hooker), Reynolds (more of a 6 or bench utility/spark), and Walters (fresh, never played hooker until the last two weeks).

I know Walters has surprised in the trials, but it is still a big step up to move into the middle of the field and handle that role week in, week out, for someone who has never played NRL.

Whichever way they go, I reckon we will end up seeing a 50 min/30 min (ish) split between the #9 and #14

Yeah, I try to keep things pretty lighthearted on here.

What’s the point. Rabs is leaving which is what the majority would want anyway.

Sure most are absolutely bored stiff of the same fucking bollocks, abuse and cock swinging. Even when not directed at yourselves it’s boring wading through the same shit all the time

Baiting is just the same because it leads to all the shit that others have to sift through!

It will be interesting to see what the Tigers come up with. Not a great way to start the season without a solid hooker. Who was in charge of the recruiting? scratch

The hard decision about Walters is that he will more likely start on the bench. I am tempted to pick him in the promise that he eventually forces his way to a starting role and bigger minutes but it is a big gamble if he plays 20m all season and ruins a cashie spot

Walters doesn't need a load of minutes to make money but if he starts on the bench and you pick him and he plays 5 minutes at the end of the game, you're screwed. It's too big of a risk to pick him unless he's starting.

Yeah, I probaby should have read this post better before posting haha. I can't pick him if he starts from the bench.

But off topic and for that I apologise, but what's the go with laying eyeballs on the Charity Shield? Nrl.com saying it's on 9 and Gem, but it's not in TV guide. What's the go? Not on free to air.

I'd got it in my head TLT was next week. What a painful realisation. Sad

Im not up to speed on the sharks backline. Trial listed as:
1 Will Kennedy, 2 Sione Katoa, 3 Josh Morris, 4 Jesse Ramien, 5 Ronaldo Mulitalo, 6 Shaun Johnson, 7 Chad Townsend

How (and perhaps more importantly when) does that get re-shaped when Xerri and Dugan? are back in the mix?

Or more succinctly, how long might Will Kennedy have the 1 spot?

    You would think;

    1. Moylan
    2. Dugan
    3. Xerri
    4. Ramien
    5. Morris.

Has Morris played wing before or does he miss out?

Been scouring Tigers Forum last half hour and according to them it's either Mbye Reynolds Walters ET or a minute sharing combo of 2 mentioned. Pretty definitive

    https://www.nrl.com/news/2020/02/26/i-should-have-listened-to-my-body-burns/

Burns, somewhat interesting quotes re hammy

"I've been full training since after Chrissy. I probably could have jumped straight into full training but we wanted to hit all the markers in the gym and tick all those boxes so we thought we'd wait and once we got back after the Chrissy break I jumped straight into everything.

"[The coaches] are pretty confident with where I'm at and chucking me into every session. It's just me now feeling where I'm at, monitoring it day by day. It's the same as all niggling injuries.

Not that the NRL site would contradict itself, but the draw only shows Fox & Kayo

Ah, thanks forgot about Moylan... Dugan could be long term though right?

It never is on Ch 9.

I’ll check and see if it’s on GEM, but it’s usually just on FOX.

I’m going to my local RSL to watch it.

There is something funny going on with Dugan and the Sharks imo.

Morris has made some interesting, and contradictory, quotes in the past couple of weeks..

I reckon they want to medically retire him but Dugan doesn't want to. Please note this is pure speculation

I thought there was a post earlier this month saying Dugan was on the verge of medical retirement?
