Can't believe I forgot Kerr. Also Mann is on the verge of being a cheapie at 350k. Thanks for the additions

This, cannot agree more. His energy off the bench was great last year.

Yeah there was an article a few days back that had a supposed quote from a raiders staffer saying that whilst they recognise his talent we also have a tonne of talent he's stuck behind and if he got a good offer from warriors it would only be fair to let him take it. He'll be straight in my team if that eventuates, rate Murchie.
Edit: Found it, then looked at the author and felt ashamed. He's obviously going nowhere and this basically confirms it:

He'd be off the bench though with minutes unknown?

I'm not sure if people noticed that C. Scott was named to play in the Raiders trial & there's an article about it on nrl.com where Ricky basically says he'll play.
It doesn't really matter how many mins B. Brailey will play because every team will have him in their 17. I am considering picking Stimson over B. Brailey if Stimson starts because as has been pointed out Brailey expects to start off playing 50 odd mins but if Stimson starts on the edge he will play big mins & if Meaney is out he could be the gk. So I had a read of the Bulldogs forums & he's not well liked & some mentioned his fitness level is questionable.
Lastly my old mate Rabs gets himself banned which was inevitable I suppose but I've known Rabs since the Sportal days & I liked him then & that hasn't changed.

People suspended/pending stand-down can still play trials because they're not actually made by the NRL, they're made by 2 clubs agreeing to have a game/hit-out

As you can see because Hudson Young played (suspended until R6), Josh McGuire played (suspended for R1) & Tyrone May played (suspended/stood down until R5)

This doesn't mean Scott can play NRL and given it probably won't be resolved I would say he's facing no-fault stand-down for a significant length of time

It just goes to show that a lot of these pre season articles are just opinion. I read an article yesterday re Simonsson & it said he's playing on the left edge outside J. Croker which immediately put me off him playing outside greedy ball hog Croker. Then today I read an article saying he's playing on the right edge which peaked my interest in him again.

If C. Scott is cleared to play by the nrl he may just find himself in my team.

Does this Brailey 50 minute thing have a reliable source somewhere where it was mentioned? King injured so you would think that would help his chances of pushing for a bigger role? Tracey going to play 30 minutes at hooker? Not sure I see it.

TBH i didn't bother checking the makeup of that warriors team, he assumption was if he was going there it was because he would get a crack at a starting spot as he can (and does) come off the bench for us if that's all he's after. Anyway as i said, Mole article so i might as well go ask the crazy bloke who walks around Wynard sounding like beaker.

I forget who posted it but he provided a quote where B. Brailey says this but he also says he's extremely fit & more than capable of playing 80 mins but his point was that it's a long season & he doesn't want to burn out so that's why he said he'd like to start out with 50 mins & build up to 80 mins.

Probably still be playing more than we think, might just be a week or two. I'm thinking maybe like Mahoney last year perhaps.

Drinkwater has a minor pectoral strain. Other than that I think its pretty much round 1 team.. obviously McGuire is missing due to injury and won't play round 1 due to suspension

    Cowboys team to play Storm:
    1. Valentine Holmes
    2. Kyle Feldt
    3. Esan Marsters
    4. Tom Opacic
    5. Justin O’Neill
    6. Jake Clifford
    7. Michael Morgan (C)
    8. John Asiata
    9. Jake Granville
    10. Jordan McLean
    11. Gavin Cooper
    12. Coen Hess
    13. Jason Taumalolo
    Interchange
    14. Reece Robson
    15. Shane Wright
    16. Francis Molo
    17. Corey Jensen
    18. Mitch Dunn
    20. Connelly Lemuelu

Not sure how much has changed from last season. Madge didn't rate him then. Only reason he came back in was due to Farah getting hurt.
