My 14-17 will be hookers and 2nd rowers because that's where the value is and I want more players in those positions than I have room for.

So FRF coverage is going to have to be the finest, cheapest prop on the market that sits somewhere in 18-21 (potentially Musgrove, we'll see if anyone else turns up)

Same. My 14-17 his HOK HOK 2RF 2RF
and my 18-21 so far is HOK HLF NUF NUF

hoping maybe one of the Nufs is a cheap FRF.

Wow well Walters starting is good news. Hopefully he kills it again and gives Madge no choice but to give him the 9.

Luciano starting is good news. I liked what I saw from him last weekend against Penrith.

Surely Musgrove is ahead of Oliver Clark as well!

Momirosvki will come into consideration once fit too. Which could see mbye shifted to hooker. Bench is a mystery at this stage. Musgrove and MCK most likely get spots.
    How far away is Momo?

If Walters goes well again though wouldn’t you just keep him at 9?

Yeah, a few guns in there.

The problem is that Id need 4 cheapies in my 17 (if I run a bench of Koro, Brailey and Levi). Plus Lomax (CTR).

I need a cheap centre to make it work really. I dont mind starting Luai + a cheap WFB + picking a number 17 from the options.

Edit, I still think this'll be close to cookie cutter anyway. The Haas Lolo combo will likely prevail. Hard to fund that without looking for an extra cheapie or two

Edited a few times as it didn't make much sense

Your post makes sense to me now. I like the wrecking ball combo team (Haas+Lolo) but it is heavily dependent on enough cheapies to make it work. My current draft doesn't have Lolo and seems to give me a bit more of a balance.
But if enough cows enter the paddock come TLT I may get the wrecking ball out...

Oliver Clark started a bunch of games at prop last year, so its not unreasonable to assume he'll still in line for a run (His stats aren't great though so I wouldn't consider him for your fantasy team)

I don't know how far away Momo is.

But if Momo does start it will be at centre - which means moving either BJ Leilua or Mbye

Not sure they'd dump Leilua, and Mbye is captain - so they either Gidley him to the bench or move him to hooker

It’d be hard to rate them!

I think I’d have Williams, Hess and Luciano as my top 3 though followed by Su’a and Carty.

For those starting with both Taumalolo and D. Fifita they could be missing out on good second row value.

Going a bit lighter on in the second row means you can spend elsewhere like on some quality centres or on quality halves.

I have 3 hookers in my top 17 now Friend, Koro and B. Brailey with Levi high on my watchlist and I’m keeping an eye on Walters now too.

How many hookers do you guys have in your top 17 right now?

So far I’m not to keen on the mid range halves options in Croft, Flanagan and JMK in strong doubt for round 1  so I still haven’t ruled out bringing in Mann to start off with!

On another note is anyone worried Brimson is not gonna average in the 40-45 range and is gonna flop and average low to mid 30’s in the first 6 rounds? Tbh it’s concerning me a little.

If this ends up being R1 team there won't be a playing CTR under 300k affraid

I assume Moga is still recovering from hamstring injury

Based on assumptions for each player being behind:

    Harper: Reimis Smith & Hopoate
    Milne/Pompey: Hiku & Fusitua
HSS: Likely behind Oldfield if Scott suspended
Crichton: Likely behind Whare & Naden
Moga: Behind Tuala & Shibasaki??? Or injured??

Knights website states in team list article:

Bradman Best and Sione Mata'utia will miss the game through injury, while Tautau Moga has been rested for another week.

I don't know whether or not this implies he would be starting if not injured. It kinda sounds like he would. Though I still think he's the odd man out when Best returns so would only be playing for 3-4 weeks

You'd probably hope the other one is a CTR/WFB or you'll be running without cover in a bunch of positions

I’d add to the backs: Leleisiuao and To’a as base price and Kennedy slightly above

I think this will be our 13 for R1 with only swap being fullback and wings
