Is Naden not the definition of hot and cold he has a score of -8

Ha! Yeah you're not wrong. To be fair to Naden, he's only played half a season, Suli has had 3 off the top of my head and hasn't changed too much. They both can miss a tackle and break a tackle.. With a full off season under his belt Naden could break out this year. Anyone touching Boyd? Think he'd probably go OK enough at centre, but can't see him ever being fantasy relevant with his defence..

Back to Friend, if Verills is on the bench, he'll be getting more than 5-10 minutes. That would be wasted interchange otherwise, when you have a guy like Radley who can cover if needed. If he's there, Jake Friend will be getting sub 65 minutes IMO.

Can't wait to see what comes from the trials, I think minutes will be hard to take out of them, the coaches will obviously want to give everyone a good run, and try out some combos.

Friend was a popular choice last year at nearly 100k above his current price (701k). Aside from an injury affected 2019, his lowest average was 47.5 in 2018 and highest average was 58.4 in 2016. Priced at 42 even his floor is going to make some decent cash

Friend should be in all serious teams, he isn't the player you sacrifice for cash, you sacrifice elsewhere to have the cash for Friend

There's also Tuala as well that could be possibly in front of To'a

Don't know whether to consider him. He's a goer, but he's also a nutcase. Could be Bateman MkII, could be Paul Carter.

He is a dual FRF/2RF if he starts at 2RF round 1.

Yes but those ahead of him are dropping like flies. I expect he will be the kind of player that if he gets his shot, he keeps it.

Did it cost them an interchange though? HIA is a free change in NRL, I assumed the same for the WCC

I was trying to think how it affected their plans. Im just not sure. It gives them one less man on the bench, sure, but bringing verrills on for friend is only going to freshen friend up if they need him late.

I know coaches have different ideas re holding back fresh players.. but yeah, dunno

I don't know, tbh. It was international rules not NRL rules, but I don't know what they are...

Suli scored 66 and 65 fantasy points in finals games last year. 1 try in each game

He also scored a 10 two weeks before finals, but people get excited by big numbers

I'd argue along with David Fifita starting on the edge they are the 3 best value picks. Where else can you get 15+ points on upside AND keeper level scores

I think Luciano Leilua as well (he may fall a bit short of keeper level, but the potential is there)

I guess if I had to drop one of those guys, it would probably be Friend, but I'm planning on starting with them all

Well well well Horsburgh all of a sudden could be a good POD. Or he could totally flop!

Interesting. Luai never been in my 17 and toyed with leaving him out of 21. Would be hilarious if not named TLT so many coaches with him main half would have to hit reset button

"Mark Geyer believes Jarome Luai is not set in stone at Nathan Cleary’s halves partner heading into the Panthers final trial against the Eels."

Suits me, I'd rather have Burton over Luai, he's got a massive boot on him by the looks.
