I'm not just getting excited by big numbers and not sure what happened in the game he scored 10, but watching him those last few weeks, it's like he's just realising himself his full potential and running with it. Looked hungry, dangerous and strong. He could have spent the pre season at KFC for all I know but for his price, I think he's a decent punt.

What's story with dogs halves? Many on forum want Wakeham starting but I thought Lewis+Cogger fairly likely.

Yeah mate Haas is my captain. On the halves it seems Lewis/Cogger will be the starting halves from what I've read.

This new Warriors prop Jamayne Taunoa-Brown hereby known as JTB (pretty close to JDB) could be worth a npr spot. Apparently he went pretty good in the All Stars game & should get better mins than most rookie props off the bench due to the Warriors losing Afoa & Frei so they are low on props.
On the All Stars game I know it's SC but he scored 51 points in 40 mins (someone did the stats). I usually take 10-15 points off a sc score to equate to a nrl fantasy score so I will round it back to 37-40 points. Considering he's priced at 16 points that's a good cow.

He scored 35 in fantasy https://www.nrlfantasyfanatics.com/t1175-2020-trial-stats

I put him in for the time being, seems like he should get a bench spot

On the whole, it looks pretty reasonable as a forecast for what 80% demonstrated in first grade. Carty certainly showed that potential early on, but has since wasted that talent, following injuries.

I am not sure how you can look at that list and think its 80% successe rate

The top 4 all did well. Of the next 20, Issah Yeo and Luke Brooks are good, DWZ is passable. Half marks for Brenko Lee and Hymel Hunt

Evander Cummins is a great blast from the past. He used to break tackles for fun back in U20s - didn't quite translate into NRL though

Exactly what I was thinking, it's better to pick players with long-term job security. I don't mind getting a cheapie in like Aekins as he will make enough $$$ to make it worth it, but running with Horsey is a risky move

    I'll likely start with Aekins.

If Burton takes Luai's spot in the NRL, he'll probably make my team. Will look at having both Walters and Luai/Burton in my 21 and play one of them each week

I'm considering Horse. Bit concerned about Raiders making early returns from injury in the past, and there are other value forward options. He'll stay in the frame though

Not really interested in Grant at Melbourne, or Manly forwards. Too short term for my liking

Guerra is another short termer who might be tempting.

Sione Mata'utia looked to be preferred at right edge but is out for 6 weeks.
Assuming Guerra takes his spot he'll score well - but will he do well enough to hold onto the spot or will Sione take it back as soon as he's fit?

Also pretty sure Ivan Cleary was quoted in NRL.com article yesterday saying Luai and Nathan would be first choice halves combo but seems a lot of people getting spooked by renowned tactical genius Mark Geyers opinion (Great player, entertaining pundit, probably great motivator but not so good on the thinking)
