He joined the VSDT league promptly. Not sure why he missed fantasy

I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than spend 1 mil on 2 centres

Why don’t you go shit in your pool instead because you clearly have some big balls! Sounds totally nuts unless two of those centres are are actually playing 2RF and the other is Burns or Staggs!Archer wrote:
I'm currently considering running 3 centres for 1.5....

Yeah, I played draft for the first time last year and had two extra hookers on my bench expecting scores, but they do nothing but offer injury cover.
The key is choosing the best players in each position (obviously), but everyone will grab the top tier guns in the first round, so have some smokey picks up your sleeve. Then you try to trade the players you want in - no salary, just offer a player and try to manipulate the other player to agree.
Enchanted Glossy Flamingo wrote:Playing conservative with trades in the early weeks is a bad strategy. Benches are now too short to hold injured or underperforming players and you need all 21 players to be firing to get ahead of everyone else. You can provide the arbitrary example of Twal last year if you like, but I can provide the example of Burns who was only supposed to be injured for two weeks in response.
In the first half of the season you need to be earning money, not points. Points invariably come with cash generating players, but it's the cash that lets you assemble your final 17 faster than everyone else and your final 17 is what gets you to the top, in my opinion
1 is burns, 1 is playing 2nd row and 1 is a genuine center you didn't mention. The Pascoe Fiasco wrote:

For keeping DFifi: He's shown a massive upside and if he's got 80 mins a week, he's likely to average well into the 50s if not more (priced at 47).
For getting Turbo: Turbo has just as much upside, and averaged 52.7 in his non-injured games last year (priced at 47) - he's also more of a POD than Fifita is, I'd wager most of the 16.2% that own Turbo are casuals.
Picking Turbo is basically speculating that DFifi either has a few quiet games to start or gets reduced minutes.

Yes, yes most likely, yes, yesHoly Moly wrote:A few questions about popular players.
L. Leilua - is he supposed to get a starting role and hence more minutes?
Horsburgh - is he likely to get 80 mins until Bateman comes back?
Papenhuyzen - is the expectation that he will average significantly above his price?
Carrigan - is he likely to keep his spot when Glenn returns and possibly even after Lodge returns?
I think you have more choice at 2RF, and cheaper too, compared to FB where you are very limited to 3-4 players who are all more expensive!Bethany_B wrote:Thoughts on DFifi vs Turbo? Yeah I'd be running the 3 in my 17. Just don't see value in cheap centers and if I see value in 400 or 500k center Im not shying away just cause of the position. An underpriced gun is an underpriced gun. Thinking otherwise leads you ti missing the Rapanas of the game because they're a winger.mattnz wrote:
I can understand having 3 centers. The difficulty is that there aren’t good cheap options available for a 3rd center, so your options are:
1. 3 decent centers you can play in your 17
2. Run 2 centers with no cover
3. Play a dual center in another position so you don’t need to have cover
Nah, it's an old favourite who's bound to let me down like every other time. So famous and dreamy they named a survivor tribe after him.Loomer wrote:
If the 2nd row is Capewell you might be disappointed on TLT
