We've had the debate already but I'm still worried about Robinson. Obviously Friend is a club captain and should play big minutes, but Robinson hasn't had a problem shuffling minutes of his other players in the past, just don't know whether that will happen to Friend. He could play 75 mins one week and 50 the next.. I don't know.

Obviously we'll know for sure in a day and a bit, but those predicted lineups above seem OK to me, at least for starting 13s. Bench makeup will surely throw up a few surprises. A lot of the queries are around injury doubts as much as anything else where at this point even the coach might not know for sure

I dunno, there's some odd stuff like CHT starting over Niko, Cogger over Wakeham (then saying in the text that Wakeham's playing), Peats over Rein etc.

On big sports breakfast this morning, Buzz believes Doogan will be back sooner rather than later. Possibly round two or three. Listening to him waffle on about his top 50 players which is in the paper today maybe want to put firecrackers in my ears.

Need some advice / point of view.
Given the Knights have Worriers 1st up and their draw doesn't seem to bad would you replace DFifita
for 2rf middy and get Ponga, essentially Dfifita vs Ponga but also feel middy 2RF ( sua/lowe/stimpson) will score better than middy WFB?
i currently have Brimson ,Aekins, Paps and feel I will leak points there.

Im happy to start with Friend. I think he will start the season strong, a bit like Farah last season. Hopefully i'll be able to upgrade to Cook before he gets injured though!

Yeah, I listen despite myself. No love for Friend at all from the NRL.com experts.

They put up a video yesterday where one of CKs top 5 traps was Papyhuyzen. That was amazing. I think the most pessimistic view here is his floor is holding his value.

That’s probably just to reduce his ownership per cent. He must be the highest owned player surely.

So to bring up the whole preseason debste. Who currently doesnt have Haas in their team, and who is your captain/where did you spend the extra money?

I see friend as the perfect player to transition to McInnes from ahead of round 12 bye.

Friend, Koro, Brailey and Papenhuyzen are literally the only four players who haven't been out of any of my sides.

Currently me, but i also haven't bothered filling out a full team yet so it could change (and I'm an idiot who think three centers could work ). I just remember all the years everyone locked (C)am including myself and every year there was discussion as to what a team would look like without him. I never tried it then so figure i might give it a crack this time and leave off the must have expensive player. If i go that route, likely will play the captain roulette for a while.
