I think you've got the wrong teams for R12 if you still have the team shown in your team tracker I only counted 7 in your 21 playing R12. Not that the number at this stage really matters too much though. Teams playing R12 are: Titans v Dogs, Eels v Cowboys, Knights v Souths, Dragons v Manly

I still have nightmares about a certain Panthers fullback that we all started with last year.

Hopefully history doesn't repeat itself.

Apologies if am repeating but have spent a couple of hours away pretending to do something else but in fact thinking about centres....summary below

Lots of talk of 'saving trades' and 'set and forget' but unless you have a centre pairing of Mitchell & Hopoate you are having a lend of yourself. They are the only two genuine mid 40ish scorers with pedigree and job security who aren't injury prone. If you don't have them you will be using trades.

Below that there are a bunch of dudes who may or may not be viable long term options but each have their issues
Bird - was my favourite but broken
Burns - very good chance he breaks
Aubs - Dodgy job security but probably my second favourite at this stage
Scott - Good chance he gets suspended/jailed (unlikely)
Ramien/Leilua/Marsters - have performed in the past and are starting new teams but risk is high
Staggs - Great when scoring tries but not so much when not & Everyone already has too many Broncos
Suli - who the fuck knows

Below them is Lomax - has reasonable job security at FB and goal kicking. Probably will not set the world on fire but might be good for 35 also good to send back when Aekins gives way to Edwards

Then we have Watkins/Shiba etc. They will all probably be shit, but you might get lucky

Then we have Wiliame & Crichton - These guys are bench cover and you are really taking a chance having them in your 17

My conclusion was that I get Lomax and one of the maybe long term solutions (probably Aubs) and hope either I get really lucky or that I can upgrade to one of the real keepers when the inevitable happens.

I think the centre position can be the true POD position. There are at least 20 players you could go with that on any given week can drop a 60. I'm liking Curtis Scott but yeah, he is supposedly a shit bloke and that could haunt my team later on. We all know the deal with Aubs, and I don't remember it ever ending happily ever after.

It is hard to look at this objectively as a Roosters supporter, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense to have Aubo starting just because of his defence, and inject Crichton in to play 40-50 mins as an impact player. Does this make sense to anyone else or am I cooked?

Also thought about Croft and how he is the only mid priced half who will now take control of a new team (other than Ash Taylor ). He has scored well in the past and, now Bird is injured, a lot (read all) of the 'strike' play will be running through Milford which might mean more 'organising' workload for Croft. He doesn't have Smith in his ear and he has a great forward pack to direct. He has a real chance to move up a level in fantasy......but I still don't think I'll be going with him

The fact Angus is playing centre I think tells you the story. They’ll run with Angus on the bench for backs cover and 2RF stint. He’s the new Aubs.

Downgraded Levi to Stimson to at least make my centres a bit stronger with Lomax, but always had a gut feel about Suli.  Wondering if I should take the punt.  Having Nofo and Suli could go very very good, or very very bad.

Nofo is a great POD pick. He can score very well and if the Tigers improve he could benefit big time. Risky but big reward. I think worth a punt more than most of the others.

Gone cold on Burns (BE 34)... looking at his stats he probably averages more 35-40 rather than 40-45. Really hard to come to a conclusion... his injury-free scores range from 33-65 (1try). Am i content with putting 500K into hoping he is more a 40 and less a 35.
