The FRF rotation at Canberra will be something most players are waiting for. Can't help but think Papalii ends up there.
That's even better for Fensom's chances at 80min. He's a lock in for me as one of my gun 2nd row forwards.

YEah, that's what I was getting at, but Sash and Archer as Raiders fans I think both believe Papa will be in the backrow. I guess we wait and see what young props they have coming through in the trials and TLW.Finger Puppet Mafia wrote:SI wrote:

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread Part 2
Fensom is my favourite raiders player, towards the end of last year he was being subbed at the 70 minute mark, this was mainly in games where we were chasing points.
I think papa is better suited out wide then in the guts.
I haven't answered the question on him as a pick up for fantasy this year, how the Raiders use the bench will interest me.
As a coach a set and forget forward that you don't need to sub gives more subs for others.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread Part 2
Last year
Fensom averaged 67 minutes
Soliola averaged 79 minutes
Papalii averaged 79 minutes (when starting in 2nd row and not at prop)
There is little chance all 3 can maintain those minutes and give Whitehead a decent run, so something has to give.
Until we know what it is, I am staying clear of all 4 of them.

Is fensoms average minutes injury affected? I seem to remember him being concussed or hurt a couple of times last year.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread Part 2
It would be, but about half his games he was subbed off and only played 60-70. A couple of games he got the 80, and some of these were due to other injuries, but the plan for the most part seemed he was only getting 65 ish minutes.Sashamaloo wrote:Milchcow wrote:

His lowest game time was 50 minutes, in round 2. I do not know if that was injury affected or not.
Nrlstats do have a section to list injuries for each game, but it is rarely populated and pretty useless all up. Maybe if you searched for match reports at the time you might be able to find out.
He only played 80 minutes 5 times.
Rd 11 (Jordan Rapana injured after 29 minutes forcing a reshuffle and Fensom, Soliola and Papalii all played 80)
Also played 80 in rounds 20-23. the last 2 of those Soliola was injured

Maranta out for 3 months (time frame startng from now I think). Does this somehow bring Carlin Anderson in? Or is it possible Timu gets an early jersey on the bench if they reshuffle Glenn/Gillett?

That is massive news, wonder if they would have tried to lock Copley up if it occured sooner.

On Fensom. I had him all of last year and remember continually being frustrated at Ricky Stuart resting him. Soliola and Papalli were definitely the preferred options for big minutes.
Fensom returned early from injury to unexpectedly start in rd 1.
I can't recall any other injuries during the season other than a concussion on 1 or 2 occasions.
The man is a machine, and Stuart is a tool.

Had him all year as well and I remeber games where he was on 60 odd midway through the 2nd half and just hoping Sticky didn't bench him. Nekk minnit.

@manlybeaver Whitehead played on the right in ESL
@random As Welshy said, Masoe is destructive but very much a short burst forward. Wouldn't pick him personally. If the Dragons have him and Packer in their 17 then their other props will be getting big minutes.

I think there may have been a game where he was 60 at half time, and didn't play at all in the second half. I was fuming.
