Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread Part 2
Reading the last 20 pages or so has got me excited about the new season. Played fantasy in 2012, 2013 and 2015 but never joined a Sportal League - will try this year. Now to have a play with Milch's spreadsheet.

Hi mate, any idea where you finished last year? And just be careful how you talk about playing with Milchy's spreadsheet as he will accuse you of masturbating with it. I'm not going to say wrongfully accused, because to be honest I may have knocked the top off it whilst manipulating players, but just a heads up for you.Cake Tiger wrote:Reading the last 20 pages or so has got me excited about the new season. Haha. Annoyingly, I can't find any way of going back to check my final position. Was not great though - somewhere around 9,000ish. Had a strong team at the end though and won a couple of H2H leagues and got to the last 8 of Kung Fu Panda's Sportal eliminator.
This will be the first year where I will have done a proper pre-season of research instead of last minute picking on Gameday 1.

No worries. Once we get the Leagues underway we will slot you in. There will be a registration thread and you just have to follow the instructions on that and we do the rest.Cake Tiger wrote:SI wrote:

I haven't really done any research yet, but I put together a team as a starting point - $1000 over the cap (but it will change 1000 times so i'll let that slide)

Tapau, Rochow, Paasi, Whitchurch, Henry, Nuffie
Sezar, Milford, Hastings, Taylor
Roberts, Lafai, Chee-kam, Nuffie
Mansour, Gordon, Holmes, Copley, Nuffie

If you need to raise some cash Auva'a (ctr) is 139k & Gutherson (ctr/wfb) is 134k. A lot going with these 2 cheapies.

I was looking at douglas as well since bailey and myles are gone. Douglas is suspended for the start of the year. Here is a list of expected team lists.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread Part 2
Does anyone keep some players under thier jumper and hope no one talks about them?
i considered it but i'm too nice
A FRF worth looking at
Junior Paulo....Season avg 40 points...season avg mins 48
Rounds 19-26 he averaged 54 minutes with 1 23 minute game? points Avg jumps to 50.5
any reason for the jump in minutes in those last 8 rounds?

Lot of people going Copley since his move. Anyone concerned he is going to take time to fit in and find his feet ?

His price is a little awkward for me. There seem to be plenty of quality options at centre this year so I don't see the need to gamble on him.Your Name wrote:Lot of people going Copley since his move. Anyone concerned he is going to take time to fit in and find his feet ?

But quality options at 170k or less with definite starting status? I can only think of kirisome as the only other one in that criteria?Krump wrote:

Thinking my 2nd team which will be a pod team might start with the back 3 of
mansour taufua Vatuvei
If they all click on the same week could be a weekly

Anyone else looking at Slater? He isn't normally someone i would look at however his price of 295k certainly puts him into consideration. Melbourne usually start the season really well and he would be fit and rested after a decent break.

Danny Wicks was out from Round 18, maybe just coincidence but whoever replaced him may have not got as many minutes?
Looks like it was Alvaro that got Wicks spot?

Staying away personally with Origin/injury history. Could grab you a couple of 90's but, though has a tendency to back that up with a couple of 20's.Scouter wrote:Anyone else looking at Slater?
