Not for me but he's apparently in the best shape he's been in for years.Scouter wrote:Anyone else looking at Slater? He isn't normally someone i would look at however his price of 295k certainly puts him into consideration. Melbourne usually start the season really well and he would be fit and rested after a decent break.

Any stats how mamo went last year when he played fullback. I thought he'd be a bit cheaper this season so he must have done alright

Cartwright one of my favourites in reality and Fantasy, but very worried about the minutes in that backrow. If Merrin ends up Prop (which is my tip) then I'll consider him.rhinoceroo wrote:2RF $350-390k. Cartwright, Taumalolo, other? Opinions?

A lot of people have him as third wfb too. I can see why to save money but im a bit iffy on having a ctr in a wfb spot. Wfb have so much more scoring potential not being restricted to one side of the field

Can't help you out with stats but I can tell you he's not a great fullback. He scores a few tries back mainly on the wing and he's the slowest fastest man in league I have seen. Commentators always talking about him having blinding speed, pretty sure he's been chased down every time they've said it. Think George Rose might have even got the jump on him.

That went over my head, did I make a glaringly obvious and embarrassing mistake?Krump wrote:Cartwright is one of SI's favourites in reality and Fantasy, but very worried about the minutes in that backrow. If Merrin ends up Prop (which is my tip) then he'll consider him.
Or, looking at what I posted, with a bit of formatting that could be a pretty gay post, something along the lines of "my fantasy is Cartwright and his backrow needs my tip" or something

Plus kick returns and bombs caught, I'd much prefer a winger or FB to a centre. Except Edrick Lee and the worlds slowest Fijian fuck those guys!Honey Badger wrote:

Do you always post twice because you're part of the baby boomer generation that still double click on everything?

I just thought if it was important enough for you to post it twice it was likely worthy of being posted a 3rd time.SI wrote:

Oh for fucks sake I didn't even see that, I thought Krumpy was suggesting I have something for Cartwright...which I don't...because Mitch Brown might be reading this forum...I don't have a thing for Bryce, Mitch...just to be clear...Honeysett wrote:SI wrote:

He's relatively cheap for a guaranteed starter, and should have dual status.
He doesn't have to average that highly to make a bit of money, and if he does start killing it then its a bonus. At the moment only 2 better options at less money (Gutherson, Auva'a) if more turn up then Copley is less attractive. FOr now he seems a reasonable pick
