Exciting times. Makes the Katoa pick risky but 2x 45s plus a 30 odd from the bench should eek out $150k from here. Locked in

Now, just need to make a few sacrifices to the Rugby League gods, Kevin Campion, Steve Price et al. And hope NRL continues lol

That's 3 rounds at least.  You wouldn't think Curran will start round 4 when they wouldn't have trained yet after the 14 day isolation. I doubt Curran comes straight back in since he's a rookie also.  More worried about Tevaga at lock and Blair moving to the edge.

if isolation ends in two weeks from todaythen they'd be able to do Thursday team session/friday captain run/whatever NZ are doing (rnd 4 game for warriors is a saturday)

not much different to being rushed back from injury?

but i agree, i doubt he would go straight into the starting spot. but if they are 0-3 the coach may make changes.

Depends if they keep losing, but hopefully he keeps putting in and keeps the spot.

    Thoughts on Lindsay Collins.

35 in 45 minutes, came on for SST and played the game out.
    Any potential there?

Probably played more minutes because Iku went off and Aubbs went to Centre than Butcher to second row I think. Probably wasn't meant to play that long.

Gee it’s going to suck for those extra Warriors when they get out of iso and the NRL season is cancelled with the rest of the team having already started their iso back in NZ.

I didn't watch his game on the weekend but he obviously got through a lot of work in 50 minutes so if he gets through the work and looks dangerous I see Blair possibly even going to prop with Burr reverting to bench and Tevaga going into Lock... or Burr lock and Tevaga bench to spell Burr and Egan.

Erin Moleman wrote:Early mail: Josh Dugan is reportedly racing to return from a knee injury and may yet come into the starting side. That would most likely be at fullback, although he could go to the centres allowing Josh Morris to play the fullback role. Morris reportedly was left out of contact work earlier in the week due to back soreness.

Kennedy would be unlucky to miss out

Just horrible lazy reporting from people not close to or asking the club.

Kennedy and Katoa have looked by far and away their best backs all pre season. No chance in hell either would be moved or dropped to accommodate Josh Morris of all people one week away from out the door

I think Dugan the main concern. If Dugan plays FB and Xerri comes back next week, Kennedy may find himself out.

Last week got 80 minutes against Fifita with 7 missed tackles. In his career, he only has 1 other game with more than 4 missed tackles.

This week, he is opposite Stimson and Cowboys will be looking for a big win.

I expect 50-60 is on the cards.

Ok so zero missed tackles (which is amusing as it is Hess - 4 is prob closer to his average in backrow than peak), takes him up to what 42 fantasy pts last week?

So you are projecting a pretty big attacking performance at 60. Could happen, but it would be quite the turnaround in performance.

Minutes aside He looked rubbish and your summary has him turning awesome edge performance

I’d be surprised on form if he goes before Ronaldo, but will soon see!

Yeah, he did look really crap IMO. Can't believe I'll probably hold him based on all this.

Yeah, that one game being a glorious 12 missed tackes to go along with 3 errors - fun times!

I think his MT's can obviously come down, but also looking for his attacking stats to get a boost, and most his good scores at 2RF were with some guy called Thurston.
Did anyone else think he just seemed to look out of sync with the Cowboys attack (i.e. Morgan/Drinkwater) last Friday?

This is pretty much my concern too. May drop to 2-3 missed tackles (not marking Fifita is definitely a plus), but he looked a bit like a headless chicken, just seldom ever in a great position to be used in attack. Kind've looked like he had just transferred to the Cowboys the previous week and didn't know any of the calls or their attacking structures
