An interesting thought I had the other day:

Whichever comp gets up and running first between NRL and ESL may be able to pick up players from the other comp on the cheap on short term contracts. Thoughts?

Imagine (ridiculous but hear me out) if the ESL started up again in 2 months time... and the NRL folded... ESL clubs would surely be offering contracts to NRL players left right and centre.

More likely its the other way around, and also it could be a league/rugby cross code thing. League could take players from Super Rugby if it doesn't get up and running again which given its five countries across the globe, maybe be a long time away if ever.

You can reverse your trades and then make 2 different trades.
Then you can reverse those trades and make 2 more different trades.
Then you can reverse those trades and select your original trades.
Then you can reverse those original trades for a couple of left field options for your team.
Then you can reverse those trades because your not happy with left field options in uncertain times.

You just need to spread the above trades over 5 days. Reset and do it every week until the NRL starts again (and yes, you need to make some trades next Christmas Day) Shocked

If the comp doesn't get started back up pricing is going to be really weird.

You seem like the videogame type judging by your previous posts.

Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing just came out this week.

Not my cup of tea though. I've been playing Rimworld again and moving on to Yakuza Kiwami II next.

I've also had more time to fantasise about other things, like Alison Mosshart from The Kills Beating Heart

My last video game I played was either Space Invaders or Pac-Man, perhaps Donkey Kong on a ‘Game And Watch’. I hope that helps.

Lockdown is serious here now in Australia. You can only leaver your house for important stuff like getting a haircut or buying a jigsaw puzzle (good luck on that, jigsaws near me sold out almost as quickly as toilet paper)

Meanwhile in the US, Donald Trump was bragging about his good numbers and how they are rising*. So I guess as bad as Scomo is, it would have been worse. At least Morrison doesn't claim to have a natural ability for handling a pandemic and that maybe it should have been his true line of work.

(he was talking about how great his TV ratings are)

Bernie is done. Americans can't separate socialism from communism in their minds, and having adequate healthcare is a dirty infringement on their freedom to die from mundane diseases.

Things are so bad in the US at the moment that a November election may not even be possible.

I cant believe they are still trying to hold elections in Australia in the midst of a crisis.

Just on this, we had local government elections in QLD this weekend despite a general feeling of unease about it.

Everyone was encouraged to use postal/early polling booths. From speaking to people who applied, postal voting forms didn't arrive on time and the two times I went to an early polling station there was 40-50 people lined up waiting to get in (to which my thoughts were, I'd rather take a fine than stand around in a fairly static line with a bunch of strangers for half an hour)

I did a little bit of thinking after reading that 40% of people had voted early and figured that if there was one booth per ward for early voting and 40% of people had voted it was going to be a breeze to vote on election day. Sure enough at my local polling station at 9.30 am there was me and one other dude voting at the 15 available booths.

People are funny....they will line up so they don't have to line up later despite the circumstances.

I think the message is pretty clear now.

You can ONLY go out, ONLY for the following ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL purposes.

    *Get food or essential supplies
    *Exercise
    *Visit dependant elderly
    *Get a 31min haircut
*Buy a jigsaw puzzle or wander around Bunnings browsing the aisles for 90mins for no reason other than you are bored at home.

I envy you! So many great games you've yet to experience.

In times like these, you could put the "games are for kids/teens" opinion aside and pass the time a lot quicker. My old man wasn't interested in games, but ended up putting a bunch of hours into games like Moto GP and V8 Supercars.

NRL Fantasy is just another slow ass videogame imo.

.. regarding the US, I always wondered how a scientifically/technologically advanced country could still be so backwards in other areas.. then I started to notice all these American celebrities talk about their "strong faith" and various other religious references.. Turns out that over 80% of Americans are religious.

Suddenly things became a lot clearer as to why they still have an archaic mindset as a whole.

Pookus McFly wrote:The only silver lining I can see if NRL is done for 2020 (other than saving face from  my abysmal start to Fantasy), is that it was already painfully obvious to me after just two games that the South Sydney pack was too small and largely untalented. The arrival of Jai Arrow before the Titans had a chance to run him into the ground this season will go a long way to making them more competitive in 2021. I feel we are just one second rower short of a contending team. Fifita would have just about guaranteed a premiership,  but he turned us down and now my hopes of Frizell are also dashed. I wonder who else is on market for then?
Souths were always looking light on in the pack. I still think we’d have finished in the lower half of the 8 though.

I don’t think we would have enough cash spare for a quality second rower as well.

Arrow will be good but he’s not an elite forward for mine yet.

Is Arrow going to Souths as a lock ( which would be why Murray is getting used to playing on the edge ), or will he go to front row ?

Murray back to lock surely, Arrow into the front row with Knight. Tatola off the bench with Turgess
    Sua and Lowe edges

But with lack of higher quality edge forwards, maybe Bennett persists with Murray on the edge, Arrow into lock
