The more people in league circles I talk to, the more I hear "The NRL isn't coming back this year". Clubs beginning to concede it makes more sense to restart in 2021.
I think the best chance of nrl restarting this season is NZ beats corona virus, nrl gets special dispensation to send everyone to NZ and they all go into quarantine for a month to get the all clear. Then all games played in Auckland every week.Teeth Eater wrote:
I don't think it really matters what anyone wants or thinks... if you (not you, WT2K) look at the state of Earth as it is now and think there will be more NRL played this year, I certainly wish I shared your (not you, WT2K) incredible optimism. Just look at the state of the joint.
I know it was only round 2 (and they'd looked terrible one week and good another - against the likely spooners) but I'd love to get a little insight into Jesus' plan to see if it would in fact have been the year of the Eel. They would have found a way to fuck it up, no doubt, but it's fitting that this would happen in the year when they were the team on many people's pouted lips.
As for Fantasy, I was off to an average start but was pretty well stacked with guns and Williams/Stimson had just cleared up some nice cash to work with. I was happy with where I was at, but I guess we'll never know.
If, however, I'm proved wrong and by some miracle the season 2020 recommences, I will be amazed and joyous.

We are 5 years away from retirement age although we have basically already retired. So when things were flying high with the stock market we judged that that wouldn't last. Made a conservative play. Who could have guessed what has happened but it's kind of worked for us. My lesser amount of super stayed at balanced growth to counter that play.
And I might start to post some bird photos as things become quieter around here.

Milchcow wrote:Hey Filth, I don't know if its part of your circle or not, but Mrs Cow and I are doing a remote quiz tonight organised by a bunch of frisbee people, and will probably do it every Friday (assuming they continue it). If you know the people involved and are ever around sign up and I might see you there

Guns for everyone!
Would expect pricing next year to be based on 2019 scoring, with maybe some adjustments for 2020 scoring

Tevita Pangai jnr (suspension, round six) if in the unlikely event we got some more league this year does this still stand? Will it rollover to round 1 2021?
Same question for Hudson Young.
