Missing out on 75 isn't great, but less bad than I was anticipating...

If you watched the video you might have guessed the round's top scorer.
Hint, he scored a hatrick, and is one of the greatest players of all time, he is about to get a write up in the final game of the round

    North Queensland 36 (J. Thurston 3, M. Bowen, M. Sing, N. Sweeney tries; J. Thurston 6 goals) defeated Brisbane 4 (D. Boyd try)

A hattrick, 3 line breaks and 6 goals. JT romped away to 125 points for the highest score of the round. Congrats to anyone that took the punt on him.

Rookie Darius Boyd scored a try in his first ever first grade game. Surely he is someone Brisbane fans will hold dear in their hearts forever.

Will MS regret not finding Hodges with 49 points in a flogging

Matthew Scott started slowly, but it was only his 5th NRL game - how quickly will he get up what we know he can do.

Boyd with a passable 33 as my ae for moimoi.

This must be what that guy from the matrix wanted when he was liberated but then wanted to get plugged back in.

I know it’s not real but fuck reality

That's awesome. I had to skip away before watching the last game highlights.
I would imagine that would probably be a century effort even under todays scoring (i.e. less for T, but would get some TA's, TB's you'd think).

Love this: Surely he is someone Brisbane fans will hold dear in their hearts forever.

The leaderboard is basically who had Thurston, so don't despair if you are behind.
The nature of scoring in this comp means someone will get over 100 every week, so if you hit the right guys you can make big ground in a week

I was estimating 650+ would be a good score, so am stoked with that, and based on those scores, I'd say 650+ is a good start.
No-one especially off the pace though.

It's going to be interesting when we hit double round weeks.

There's a few guys whop already have Darren Albert / Luke Douglas and other Sharks players to save on trades (assuming they are named next week)

Souths have the Bye next round and no commonly owned Souths players so naming a 17 shouldn't be tough yet.

Forgetting to change my CTR once EMG was made independent of position was major error on my part. Could have stuck Covell in CTR and got one of 2RFs instead of Martin

Picking non HLFs in HLF spots also looks to have backfired

1.Tony Martin - Most of his points come from goals and he can't crack double digits
2.Hoping this is Craig Fitzgibbon. With Ashley Harrison brought in as a possible role replacement(defend at A, control the ruck) the old fox might be winding down his career
3.Luke Bailey - Base stat beast with a sneaky good offload. Will do very well in this format
4.Anyone that scored a try this week and doesn't next week

Few nice PODish picks with Tronc and Monaghan scoring above b/e. Hannant nearly doubling his b/e is a win

The guns are costing me so far with Schifcofske, Fitzgibbon and Flannery putting up stinkers

Think I'll aim to get Hodges in sooner rather than later
