    Stats for the game

    NRLFF 2006 Fantasy thread - Round 2, Trade Rage! - Page 26 R2_new10

Scores probably a little lower than people were expecting. A lot of tries for points, but with so many tries, the ball wasn't in play enough for people to get points through tackles and other normal methods

    Johns just cracks the 100
Phil Graham almost got there in a team that conceded 70

Zillman was certainly not a shitto on debut, averaging 2 tries a game at this point in his career

Tongue did great, as did both the Gidleys and Steve Simpson

Andrew Lomu scored at about 3pm from what I could gather

Milton Thaiday looked really good but only mustered up 16 points - basically all from run metres
    Brian Carney not much better

Ben Jones was not what people wanted

More games and a highlight video coming tomorrow

I've got a new found appreciation for Matt Gidley aswell. Thought he was just a bloke on the end of a lucky backline but gee he had some quality footwork

Gidley was a class player, but the Canberra edge defence was decidedly average tonight

Something tonight's game reminded me of (I mentioned it in the Zoom chat - you all should join next time)

Jason Smith probably has one of the higher error rates in the comp, yet every time he dropped a ball under no pressure - the commentators would mention it being an "uncharacteristic error"
Happened tonight, and if we see Canberra more Canberra games in this comp I'll bet we see it again

Missed the zoom chat cause a mate jumped on and facetimed. Will be round for the next one for sure

If we had points for TA/LBA Johns would be on 150. What a master class

What on earth is a Phil Graham? Honestly can't ever remember hearing the guy's name before.

That was another really bad game for my squad. Tongue was sweet action, but Buderus, Carney and Purtell were all scrotum destroyers. I feel like about 3 or 4 of my guys will make their BE this week. Deciding who to trade out will be a dart blindly thrown at a dartboard.

Anyway, thanks again for all the effort, Milchcow. Definitely keen to see what I can of another game next week. I don't think I'll be able to do the Zoom thing as I was sitting here with my wife (on the TV, me on the laptop) for most of that match, but will aim to be here at least.

Only one player made more than 25 tackles - not a game for tackling

BTW deleted my copy of the youtube game as I borrowed it from some other user to remove the score from the title, and to get the live launch

    Real copy is here
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiIvDJUommQ

Did the live launch go OK. Sounds like a couple of you watched it from the above copy anyway
There's a few games later in the season which will only be available on my channel, so good if everyone can get that to work

I had to bail at about 50 mins, but thanks for organising.

My team is complete trash though. Except Alan Tongue. No doubt if he’d played for a Sydney team he gets at least a couple of Origins.

Up to 13/666 now, looking pretty good. Inglis, CS9, Soward and Stapleton still to come, possibility to cracking 800 with some good scores.

How good was Troy Thompson & Milton Thaiday is lightning quick. I've can't even remember him & he's a great player.

Didn't he have Paul Gallen and Ben Kennedy in front of him for origin ?

Was rapid. Quicker than he looks to the eye. Arguably fastest player in the league.

No surprises in this scoring format that we’re going to see some Phil.

I wonder if I can discard KHunt and Bowen for he and El Masri. Probably not after this week, but it's interesting. He seems to have some early form.

Well yeah I’m not saying he plays ahead of someone like Ben Kennedy. I’m saying that with 4-5 backrowers picked every game, and Tongue being a very good workhorse for many years, he was pretty unlucky to not get a few games. He could also cover hooker if named on the bench
